Roundup: Eryuan McJoy, Cheyenne top Spring Valley in five sets

Eryuan McJoy put down 12 kills to help Cheyenne’s girls volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-18, 21-25, 23-25, 15-8 home win over Spring Valley on Friday.

Miya Burns added five aces and 39 digs for the Desert Shields.

Simone Beane and Vaden Mangler each had seven kills to lead Spring Valley. Brooke Robinson added five aces and three blocks, and Emma Lily Marple notched 18 assists for the Grizzlies, who also got 24 digs from Cashmere Buford.

Green Valley 3, Boulder City 0 — At Green Valley, Deijah Spaight had eight kills and eight digs to lead the Gators to a 27-25, 25-22, 25-20 victory over the Eagles.

Abby Olsen had 23 assists for the Gators, Stephanie Evans had 11 digs, and Erin Robinson had five blocks.

Kamry Bailey had 20 kills and 11 digs for the Eagles, Maggie Roe had 13 kills, eight assists and two aces, and Ava Wright had 26 assists.

Liberty Baptist 3, Round Mountain 2 — At Round Mountain, Jade Halverson had nine kills, 15 assists, six aces, 18 digs and one block in Liberty Baptist’s 25-19, 15-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-9 win over Round Mountain.

Kelsey Guardiola had nine kills, four assists, four aces and 12 digs, and Kiley Guardiola added five kills and 25 digs for Liberty Baptist.

Lake Mead 2-2, Needles 0-0 — At Needles, California, the Eagles defeated the Mustangs in the first match of a doubleheader, 25-17, 25-14.

In the second match, the Eagles won, 25-22, 25-11.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Alamo, the Panthers swept the Thunderbirds, 25-19, 25-5, 25-10.

Tonopah 3, Beaver Dam 0 — At Tonopah, the Muckers swept the Diamondbacks, 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.

Calvary Chapel 2-2, Lincoln County 0-0 — At Panaca, the Lions swept a doubleheader from the Lynx.

Beatty 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Beatty, the Hornets defeated the Sidewinders.
