ROUNDUP: Frantz, Barlow lift Boulder City girls past Miners

Avalon Frantz dished out 41 assists, and Whitney Barlow spiked 15 kills Wednesday to help Boulder City’s girls volleyball team to a 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 25-16 home win over Sunrise Mountain.

Mallory Bird added 13 kills, and Eliza Jeppsen had 10 kills for the Eagles.

Jenae Yurek-Carhee had 10 digs, four kills and three aces, and Alex Martinez and Tania Amaya each supplied five kills and three blocks for the Miners. Melelini Carter served nine aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Tech, McKayla Kimball had 10 kills and three aces, and Joyann Smith tallied eight kills and two aces as the Roadrunners beat the Jaguars 25-15, 9-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Angelica Casillas supplied three kills and three aces for Tech.

Jazzmin Avalos dished out 24 assists, and Cynthia Zack had 20 digs for Desert Pines, which also got nine kills from Melissa Benford.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Nani Padilla supplied eight aces and eight digs to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-2, 25-9, 25-19 sweep of the Longhorns.

Talia Barnes and Tiana Bonds each tallied six kills for Centennial, which got four kills from Cristina Owens.

Emily Valerio led Legacy with 12 assists and six digs. Ashley Smoot had three kills and four blocks, and Bianca Boyt had three kills for the Longhorns.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Gorman, Emma Filosi dished out 31 assists and supplied five aces to help the Gaels blank the Diamondbacks, 25-10, 25-15, 25-12.

Anna Dondero had 13 kills and Emma Kirst added 10 kills for Gorman, which got eight kills from Gianna Ruggeroli.

Brooke Mazak had five kills and four digs, and Tianna Jefferson added nine assists and five digs for Desert Oasis. Summer Bobenhausen-Kibler had 10 digs for the Diamondbacks.

Chaparral 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Chaparral, Jaeda Allen recorded 17 kills and 11 aces to lead the Cowboys to a 25-21, 25-10, 25-23 sweep over the Bulldogs.

Hannah Kirschbaum supplied six kills and six blocks, and Carminda Greenstone added six kills for Chaparral.

Nikki Arquette had 23 assists and 10 digs, and Kirston Tanner put down 12 kills to lead Virgin Valley.

Bonanza 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Bonanza, Sydney McFadden distributed 14 assists, and Sam Katschke had 10 digs as the Bengals swept the Spartans 25-19, 25-7, 25-18.

Vasati Fiatoa had six kills and four blocks, and Sophie Cram and Sammie Spelman each supplied six kills for Bonanza.

Erica Padilla had 11 assists, and Chalon Henderson added nine kills to pace Cimarron. Sarah Lutjens contributed nine digs, and Amanda Becerra had six digs for the Spartans.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Coronado, Taylor Jackson registered 10 kills and two blocks, and Lia Herlosky added six kills, seven digs and two aces in the Cougars’ 25-8, 25-15, 25-12 win over the Dragons.

Berkeley Oblad added five kills, five aces and three blocks, and Cali Thompson supplied 29 assists and four aces for Coronado, which got five kills from Carolyn Andrulis.

Camille Santana had 10 digs, and Kaleileihua Cabanas contributed nine digs for Del Sol.

Basic 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Leah Causey recorded 13 digs and 10 kills to help lead the Wolves to a 25-13, 25-19, 25-19 sweep of the Patriots.

Cristina Kelley supplied 21 assists and seven digs, and Tori Foutz added seven kills and five digs for Basic.

Natalia Leilua dished out 15 assists, and Luiza Nascimento provided eight kills for Liberty, which got five kills from Alyssa Helms.

Foothill 3, Eldorado 0 — At Foothill, Taylor Clarke had 20 assists and six aces, and Zoe Wolfenbarger spiked 16 kills to lead the Falcons to a sweep of the Sundevils 25-9, 25-9, 28-26.

Samantha Colella had nine digs and three aces, and Nicolette White added six kills and two blocks for Foothill.

Jasmyne Vandyleuam tallied 17 digs, and Alexis Vaquero had nine digs and five kills for Eldorado, which got three kills and three blocks from Tori Stark.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Taylor Richards recorded 15 aces, seven kills and six digs, and Gianni Perryman dished out 19 assists, helping the Crusaders sweep the Desert Shields 25-7, 25-8, 25-3.

Sam Leonard had eight kills and three aces, and Taylor Hammer added seven kills for Faith Lutheran.

Jenna Mecham had four kills for Cheyenne.

Moapa Valley 3, The Meadows 1 — At The Meadows, Kimberly Lewis tallied 32 assists, 14 digs and seven aces, and Alex Peterson spiked nine kills to help the Pirates beat the Mustangs 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 25-18.

Tabitha Witsken supplied nine digs for Moapa Valley.

Alex Hall had 26 digs and 16 kills, and Victoria Onufrieff provided 14 digs for The Meadows, which got seven kills and three blocks from Nikki Lenardson.
