ROUNDUP: Gators bag Southeast title with win at Silverado

Nikki Drost had 13 kills Wednesday as Green Valley’s girls volleyball team clinched the Southeast League title with a 25-17, 25-12, 25-14 win at Silverado.

Carly Schiess added nine kills for Green Valley, and teammate Alexa Drost tallied eight digs and three aces.

Jenna Swaffer dished out 29 assists for the Gators, who improved to 12-0 in the Southeast with a three-match lead over Silverado and Coronado with two matches left.

Ku’uipo Brown led Silverado with 10 digs. Kayla Agae had six digs and two kills, and Paulina Dudunakis supplied three kills and two digs for the Skyhawks.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Tiffany Jackson delivered 30 assists and eight digs, and Marissa Lair tallied 14 kills and nine digs as the Wildcats clinched the Northeast League title by sweeping the Vikings, 25-16, 25-20, 25-15.

Carly Cottle had 10 kills and two blocks, and Katie Matthews supplied 13 digs for Las Vegas, which improved to 12-0 in league play and holds a four-match lead over both Valley and Chaparral with two matches left.

Lenore Porter dished out 15 assists for Valley, and Zoe Galindo added five kills.

Eldorado 3, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, the Sundevils rallied for a 24-26, 16-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15-9 win over the Rams.

Chanel Eliason had 25 digs and five aces for Rancho, and Dayna Yamaguchi distributed 14 assists.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Coronado, Lia Herlosky had 19 assists, 10 digs and three aces, and Kuulei Piena contributed 19 digs and eight kills as the Cougars topped the Wolves, 27-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Ally Keller added eight kills and six blocks, and Berkeley Oblad supplied five kills and five blocks for Coronado, which got six kills and three aces from Charlie Spietz.

Kamisha Richardson paced Basic with 11 kills and four digs. Jordan Mullins added eight digs, six kills and five blocks, and Leah Causey had five kills and six blocks for the Wolves.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Janae Yurek-Carhee and Lenny Estrada each had five kills to help lead the Miners to a 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 sweep of the Pioneers.

Natasha Montano supplied seven assists, and Sydney Morris put down six kills to lead Canyon Springs.

Chaparral 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Chaparral, Jaeda Allen put down 22 kills and two blocks, and Katie Oliviera contributed four assists and two blocks as the Cowboys defeated the Jaguars, 25-19, 25-9, 25-16.

Hannah Kirschbaum supplied three kills and two blocks for Chaparral.

Cynthia Zack had 17 digs, and Jazzmin Avalos had four kills and four assists for Desert Pines.

Liberty 3, Tech 0 — At Liberty, Katlyn Kapral had seven kills, and Nicole Fredericks served five aces as the Patriots blanked the Roadrunners, 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.

Evelyn Lopez led Tech with nine assists and five kills.

Foothill 3, Del Sol 0 — At Foothill, Zoe Wolfenbarger posted 28 assists and six kills in the Falcons’ 25-22, 25-11, 25-19 sweep of the Dragons.

Hunter Arboreen spiked 10 kills, and Nicolette White had nine kills for Foothill.

Bishop Gorman 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Kylee Chun dished out 47 assists and Breanna Rubalcaba put up 19 digs as the Gaels defeated the Mountain Lions, 25-20, 25-16, 18-25, 25-11.

Shelby Devlin and Emma Kirst each had 11 kills for Bishop Gorman.

Chyna Williams had 15 assists, Taylor Price posted 10 kills, McCall Phillips supplied seven kills, and Shelby Stiles added five kills for Sierra Vista.

Shadow Ridge 3, Arbor View 1— At Arbor View, Destinee Beavers had 20 digs and 10 kills, and Niehely Sosa tallied nine kills, four blocks and two aces as the visiting Mustangs knocked off the Aggies, 26-24, 7-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Jewelynn Yapching added 23 digs and three aces for Shadow Ridge.

Allison McClure had 15 assists and for Arbor View, which got 12 kills and three aces from Erika Kelly and 11 kills from Amber Graham.

Moapa Valley 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Overton, Emma Eira racked up 12 kills and four aces in the Pirates’ 25-15, 25-19, 25-16 win over the Grizzlies.

Mallory Reid added nine kills and five aces for Moapa Valley.
