ROUNDUP: Hall leads The Meadows past surging Lincoln County

Vanessa Hall had 13 digs and 19 assists in the opening match and 22 assists in the nightcap Friday to help The Meadows’ girls volleyball team sweep a key Class 2A doubleheader from visiting Lincoln County.
The Mustangs won the opener, 25-17, 19-25, 15-13 and took the finale, 25-23, 24-26, 15-10 to improve to 10-0 in league play. Lincoln County slipped to 10-2.
Kristyna Fong added 15 digs, and Laura Walsh had 12 digs and eight kills for The Meadows in the first match. Catherine Chakmak had seven kills for the Mustangs.
In the second match, Fong had 19 digs and Austin McMillan added 14 digs. Jackie Lipkowitz had 12 digs, six kills and three aces for The Meadows. Also for the Mustangs, Lindsie Kutcher had eight kills and Chakmak seven.
Virgin Valley 3, Boulder City 2 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris had 20 kills as Virgin Valley clinched first place in the Class 3A Southern League by outlasting Boulder City, 25-18, 26-24, 19-25, 24-26, 15-10.
Annie Biasi added 14 kills, and Kaeli Williams had five kills for the Bulldogs.
Emily Boyster had 18 blocks and Karlee Koopman added 14 blocks for the Eagles.
Lake Mead 3, Tonopah 1 — At Tonopah, Amanda Wellman had 14 kills, 12 aces and 12 digs as Lake Mead clinched at least a share of the Class 1A Southern League title and the No. 1 seed for the league playoffs with a 20-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-22.
Ashley Newton dished out 22 kills, 16 digs and three aces, and Jocelyn Cox added 40 assists, six digs and five kills for the Eagles.
Also for Lake Mead, Sam Herman had 10 kills and five digs, and Emma Khachikian supplied seven digs.
Brittany Klapper had 19 assists and seven digs for the Muckers. Sam Kimber had 12 kills and three blocks, and Alli Friel added seven kills and four digs.
Pahranagat Valley 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Alamo, Addie Canning had 15 assists in the Panthers' 25-2, 25-4, 25-10 win over Sandy Valley.
Alyssa Higbee had 10 aces for Pahranagat Valley. Halie Lewis added nine kills and Roxie Lasike six aces for the Panthers. Also for Pahranagat Valley, Dakota Day had six kills, and Kyla Mortensen had five aces and five kills.
Needles 2-0, Calvary Chapel 1-2 — At Needles, Calif., Laura Perri had 19 assists in the opening match and 13 in the nightcap to help Calvary Chapel earn a split of a doubleheader with the Mustangs.
Needles took the opening match, 25-21, 18-25, 16-14. Calvary won the finale, 25-23, 25-17.
In the opener, Bri Ridley had 17 kills and Brettani Davis tallied 10 digs for the Lions. Eboni Brown added six kills and five digs for Calvary Chapel.
In the second match, Davis had 12 digs and Ridley notched six kills. Anna Duerden added three kills for the Lions.
West Wendover 2-1, Mountain View 1-2 — At Mountain View, Charde Page had 11 kills and three blocks in the opening match and six kills, five blocks and two aces in the nightcap to help the host Saints earn a split with West Wendover.
West Wendover won the opener, 25-22, 18-25, 15-11. Mountain View took the nightcap, 26-24, 19-25, 15-10.
Brianna Marruffo had four aces for the Saints in the opening match.
Kayla Kirk and Kristen Gonzalez each had two kills for Mountain View in the second match.
White Pine 2-2, Agassi Prep 1-0 — At Agassi Prep, the visiting Bobcats took the opening match, 17-25, 25-17, 15-8 and finished the sweep with a 25-18, 25-11 win in the second match.
Round Mountain 3, Beatty 1 — At Round Mountain, the host Knights posted a 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 25-6 win over the Hornets.
Moapa Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Moapa Valley swept the Miners, 25-8, 25-11, 25-7.
Henderson International 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Indian Springs, the visiting Wolverines were 25-11, 25-19, 25-19 winners over the Thunderbirds.
Palo Verde wins five in Arizona tournament
At the Mountain View Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., Tori Lounsbery had 76 assists, 18 aces and 17 digs as Palo Verde won five matches.
The Panthers beat Marana (Ariz.), Yuma (Ariz.), St. Augustine (Fla.), Desert View (Ariz.) and host Mountain View (Ariz.), all by 2-0 scores.
Ainsley Lovejoy added 29 kills, 13 digs and eight blocks for the Panthers. Also for Palo Verde, Jovana Sisovic had 36 kills, 31 digs and six blocks; Melanie Gueorguiev had 13 kills, 11 digs and nine blocks; and Wendy Gueorguiev added 29 digs and eight aces.
