ROUNDUP: Herman, Panthers sweep Centennial

Stephanie Herman distributed 37 assists and had four digs Friday to help Palo Verde’s girls volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-19 win over visiting Centennial.

Kendall Cheval had 15 kills and eight digs, and Lexi Riggs contributed nine kills and five digs for the Panthers. McCall Phillips had nine kills, and Faryn Duncan supplied 16 digs for Palo Verde.

Calvary Chapel 2-2, Lincoln County 0-0 — At Panaca, Deja Harris had nine kills and four blocks in the opener and 10 kills, six digs and three blocks in the nightcap as the Lions swept the Lynx, 25-18, 25-16 and 25-6, 26-24.

Brooke Davis had 12 assists and five digs, and Alexis Harris added six kills and two blocks for Calvary Chapel in the first match.

Davis supplied 14 assists and two kills, and McKenna Beckwith added six aces and three digs in the finale for the Lions.

Bailey Free and Britten Hafen each had five assists to pace Lincoln County in the first match. Kourtney Gloeckner added nine digs for the Lynx.

In the nightcap, Hafen had seven assists, and Gloeckner contributed six digs for the Lynx, who got four kills and three blocks from Kaylee Teel.

Lake Mead 2-2, Needles 0-0 — At Lake Mead, Taylor Vetter had nine kills and six digs in the first match and 14 kills and three digs in the finale of the Eagles’ 25-16, 25-18 and 25-10, 30-28 sweep of the Mustangs.

Megan Watkins had 13 assists, two aces and seven digs, and Jenette Hensley added four aces and two digs in the opening match for Lake Mead, which got four kills apiece from Alexis Brule and Shannon Regan.

In the nightcap, Watkins tacked on 17 assists and five digs, and Brule and Taylor Webb each had three kills. Hensley supplied seven aces and two digs for Lake Mead.

Tonopah 3, Lund 0 — At Lund, Elise Salsbury had 15 assists and three aces, and Alli Friel supplied 13 assists, nine kills and five digs as the Muckers rolled to a 25-15, 25-7, 25-21 sweep of the Mustangs.

Deanna VanPoucke had 10 kills, and Sydney Maughan chipped in four kills, four aces, four digs and two assists for Tonopah. Ashley Gray had three kills, and Julia Klapper had four kills and two assists for the Muckers.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Round Mountain 0 — At Round Mountain, the Panthers swept the Knights, 25-18, 25-6, 25-9.

Laughlin 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-1 — At Agassi Prep, the Cougars took a pair of matches from the Stars by the scores of 26-24, 20-25, 26-24 and 25-20, 30-28.
