Roundup: Jaylin Ellis keys Durango victory

Jaylin Ellis had 15 kills and 13 digs on Friday to help host Durango’s girls volleyball team to a 25-12, 26-24, 21-25, 25-12 win over Centennial.

Sophia Dominguez also had 13 kills and 11 digs, and Sierra Leone Sanchez had 20 digs for the Trailblazers.

Centennial’s Kaya Anderson had 42 assists and nine digs, and teammate Chloe Geiman had 17 kills and 11 digs.

GV Christian 3, Indian Springs 1 — At Indian Springs, Sofia Gil had 19 assists and four aces as the Guardians defeated the Thunderbirds, 21-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.

Scarlett Limon had nine kills and three aces for GV Christian.

Cheyenne 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Cheyenne, Miya Burns had nine kills and eight digs as the Desert Shields defeated the Trojans, 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Cheyenne’s Laurin Carlton added 16 digs.

Pahrump’s Nicky Velazquez had six kills, and teammate Taylor Wombaker had six assists.

The Meadows 3, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Calvary Chapel, Dani Mason had 11 kills, nine aces and 15 digs to lead the Mustangs to a 25-8, 25-9, 25-10 win over the Lions.

Mira Gollard had 29 assists, seven aces and four digs, and Anna Dorn added nine kills and 13 digs for The Meadows.

Lincoln County 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Panaca, the Lynx swept a doubleheader from the Saints by scores of 25-7, 25-11 and 25-16, 25-6.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Alamo, the Panthers swept the Sidewinders, 25-7, 25-4, 25-13.
