ROUNDUP: Jefferson paces Desert Oasis girls to sweep over Pioneers

Tianna Jefferson racked up seven kills and 11 assists Friday to help Desert Oasis’ girls volleyball team to a 25-11, 25-9, 25-14 home win over Canyon Springs.

Summer Bobenhausen-Kibler had four kills and 14 digs, and Lauren Rios added four kills and six digs for the Diamondbacks.

Natasha Montano dished out 10 assists, and Sydney Morris spiked six kills for the Pioneers, who got 17 digs from Emily Tuala.

Coronado 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Coronado, Lia Herlosky had 13 kills, and Nikki Jackson supplied six aces and three blocks to help the Cougars sweep the Mustangs, 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Taylor Jackson and Carolyn Andrulis each had seven kills for Coronado.

Ashley Smith had six kills, and Jasmine Burton contributed eight digs for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 2, University City (Calif.) 1 — At La Jolla, Calif., McCall Phillips had 10 kills and four digs to lead the Panthers to a 20-25, 25-22, 15-13 win in the La Jolla Invitational.

Stephanie Herman had 28 assists and nine digs for the Panthers, and Jenna Bobroski added two kills, three aces and nine digs.

Bishop's School (Calif.) 2, Palo Verde 0 — At La Jolla, Calif., the Panthers suffered a 25-17, 25-10 defeat in the La Jolla Invitational despite 15 assists and five digs from Herman.

Lexi Riggs had three kills and five digs for Palo Verde, and Kendall Cheval tallied five kills and three digs.

Palo Verde 2, Strathcona Composite (Canada) 0 — At La Jolla, Calif., Herman had 16 assists and eight digs as the Panthers rolled to a 25-13, 25-21 sweep in the La Jolla Invitational.

Madison Smith had four kills and two blocks for Palo Verde, and Faryn Duncan supplied eight digs.

Lake Mead 2-2, Lincoln County 1-0 — At Lake Mead, Taylor Vetter had nine kills and six digs in the opener and 13 kills and 15 digs in the nightcap as the Eagles swept the Lynx, 25-14, 17-25, 15-9 and 25-19, 25-19.

In the opening match, Megan Watkins had 10 assists, seven digs and three kills, and Taylor Badua-Kono added 10 digs and two aces for Lake Mead, which got five kills and two aces from Shannon Regan.

In the nightcap, Megan Watkins had 16 assists, four digs and two kills, and Badua-Kono supplied nine digs for the Eagles.

Kaylee Teel had six kills and two digs, and Elle Scott added five kills and three digs in the first match for Lincoln County. Britten Hafen added nine assists and two kills for the Lynx.

Teel also had six kills in the second match, and Scott contributed two kills and three digs for the Lynx.

Tonopah 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, the Muckers posted a 25-5, 25-11, 25-9 sweep of the Lions.
