Roundup: Julia Whiting-Reed rallies Green Valley past Liberty

Julia Whiting-Reed had 17 kills to help Green Valley’s girls volleyball team rally for a 24-26, 25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10 win at Liberty on Wednesday.

Abby Olsen had 33 assists, 10 digs and four aces, Madison Hutchinson-Martinez had nine assists and nine digs, and Stephanie Evans had six aces and nine digs for the Gators.

Alexandra Farnsworth had 20 kills, nine digs and two aces to lead Liberty. Tehani Tapuala had 45 assists, 11 digs and three aces, and Alana Chun had 23 digs, three assists and an ace for the Patriots.

Chaparral 3, Del Sol 2 — At Chaparral, Gabriela Fernandez put up 22 digs to lead the Cowboys to a 18-25, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13 win over the Dragons.

Melany Rico had 12 assists, and Makayla Kenslow added seven assists for Chaparral.

Angel Jones led Del Sol with 20 digs and five kills. Saleena Quichocho tallied 12 digs and six aces, and Genessa Galibut notched 11 assists for the Dragons.

Bishop Gorman 3, Centennial 1 — At Bishop Gorman, Tommi Stockham had 19 kills and three aces to lead the Gaels to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-27, 25-23 win over the Bulldogs.

Kylie Gibson had 18 kills, and teammate Lilly Hoff added 19 assists for Gorman, which got 15 assists apiece from Sydney Lobato and Angelina Starck.

Kylie Saunders led Centennial with 26 digs, and Siara Roberts tallied 13 digs and six kills for the Bulldogs.

Sierra Vista 3, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Mackenzie Bowlen supplied 26 assists and five aces in the Mountain Lions’ 25-18, 23-25, 25-12, 25-13 win over the Bengals.

Alexys Nassiri had 15 digs, and Caleyse Saunders added 12 kills for Sierra Vista.

Sydny Dunn had 15 assists to pace Bonanza.

Arbor View 3, Desert Oasis 1 — At Arbor View, Sarah Goddard had nine kills, seven digs and four aces, and Kyndall Mitchell dished out 17 assists as the Aggies topped the Diamondbacks, 23-25, 25-11, 25-11, 25-14.

Nicola Talbot had seven digs and four aces, Bailey Olbur notched five kills and three blocks, and Kennedy Presser added three kills and three blocks for Arbor View.

Sophia Parlanti had 18 digs, eight kills and three aces to lead Desert Oasis. Laityn Sarna had 17 assists, seven digs and two aces, and Remy Seumalu added 10 digs and seven kills for the Diamondbacks.

Moapa Valley 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Eden Whitmore had 21 kills, and Aria Messer had 33 assists and five aces as the Pirates beat the Bulldogs, 25-18, 27-29, 25-19, 25-13.

Shelbi Walker had 12 kills, and Abbie Evans added 10 kills for Moapa Valley.

Calee Clem led Virgin Valley with 21 assists and 12 digs. Taylor Barnum notched 11 kills and 10 digs, Jessica Barnum had 10 digs and six kills, and Markell Ludvigson supplied 10 digs for the Bulldogs.

Tech 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Makenna Faught dished out 22 assists as the Roadrunners downed the Pioneers, 25-23, 28-26, 16-25, 25-22.

Seidi Trevizo had 12 digs, and Cadie Espe added eight kills for Tech.

Jeanette Fine had seven aces to lead Canyon Springs, which got five aces from J’Nasia Spand.

Shadow Ridge 3, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Kizzy Rodriguez had 17 digs and 13 kills, and Alysha Smith tallied 24 assists, six kills and three blocks as the Mustangs took down the Crusaders, 25-7, 25-23, 25-22.

Braedyn Peters had 17 digs and three aces for Shadow Ridge.

Alexi Johnson and Hailey Carroll each had 11 digs, and Ellie Fried added five kills and three blocks for Faith Lutheran.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Tehani Faitau had 10 assists and eight aces, and Naomi Harris notched six kills and four aces as the Trailblazers swept the Grizzlies, 25-17, 25-14, 25-10.

Jaquelyn Robinson added six kills for Durango.

Cashmere Buford had 11 digs, and Simone Beane added four aces and two kills for Spring Valley, which also got five assists from Emma Lily Marple.

Legacy 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Kiana Carter had 10 digs, six kills and four aces, and Kamaile Mendonsa added 26 assists to lead the Longhorns to a sweep of the Spartans, 25-10, 25-23, 26-18.

Myah Maxwell had 15 kills, and Alyssa Fuller supplied 15 digs for Legacy.

Natasha Obradovic had seven kills and four digs, and Andrea Aldaco notched six assists and three digs for Cimarron, which also got six digs from Alexandrea Payan.

Palo Verde 3, Clark 0 — At Palo Verde, Mia Sadler had 13 kills to power the Panthers to a 25-2, 25-4, 25-11 sweep of the Chargers.

Aaliah Largusa added six kills for Palo Verde.

Coraly Dupree had two kills for Clark.

Desert Pines 3, GV Christian 2 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars defeated the Guardians, 25-15, 25-16, 15-25, 25-27, 15-7.

Hope Watson led GV Christian with nine kills, three aces and six digs. Abigail Johnson added five kills, one ace and four digs, and Sofia Gil had 19 assists and four aces for the Guardians.

Boulder City 3, Somerset-Sky Pointe 0 — At Somerset-Sky Pointe, Boulder City swept Somerset-Sky Pointe, 25-15, 25-13, 25-10.
