ROUNDUP: Legacy’s Valerio keys victory over Canyon Springs

Emily Valerio had 18 aces and eight assists on Thursday to lead Legacy’s girls volleyball team to a 25-9, 25-11, 22-25, 25-18 win over visiting Canyon Springs.

Kayla Elwell added nine aces, nine digs and two blocks for the Longhorns.

Sydney Morris had five kills, and Sierra Cummings added nine digs for Canyon Springs, which got seven assists from Natasha Montano.

Desert Oasis 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Tianna Jefferson had 11 assists and two blocks, and Janae Ballard had five kills and four blocks to help the Diamondbacks to a 25-22, 25-18, 27-29, 25-11 win over the Mountain Lions.

Lauren Rios had six digs and three kills for Desert Oasis.

Shelby Stiles had 10 kills, and Bailey Bergquist spiked seven kills for Sierra Vista, which got six aces from Kiana Taitano.

Green Valley 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Carly Schiess posted 10 kills and 19 digs, and Nikki Drost added 16 kills, seven digs and four aces to help the Gators to a 27-25, 25-7, 25-17 win over the Falcons.

Jenna Swaffer distributed 32 assists, and Shanna Olsen had six kills and three aces for Green Valley, which got five kills from Bridgette Dwyer.

Zoe Wolfenbarger had six digs, five assists and four kills for the Falcons. Emma Khachikian supplied 12 digs and two kills, and Sarah Dusenbury had four digs and three kills for Foothill.

Rancho 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Danielle Carino supplied eight digs, six kills and five aces to help the Rams sweep the Spartans, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Destiny Jensen had 14 digs, and Sydnee Stankosky supplied 11 digs and four kills for Rancho, which got seven kills from Kanosha Gray.

Erica Padilla dished out 12 assists, and Chalon Henderson had six kills to lead Cimarron, which got four kills and four digs from Sarina Creswell.

Arbor View 3, Eldorado 0 — At Arbor View, Jenna McClure had 10 assists and eight aces to lead the Aggies to a 25-20, 25-20, 25-9 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Jocelyne Gonzalez added 18 digs, and Jordyn Beas had seven kills for Arbor View.

Angela Stoneback paced Eldorado with 10 digs.

Moapa Valley 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Overton, Kimberly Lewis had 29 assists, and Bailey Owens added eight kills as the Pirates topped the Bulldogs, 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Makenzie Bush had seven kills, and Shelbie Gray had five kills for the Pirates, who got four kills from Summer Owens.

Nikki Arquette had 13 assists, seven digs, four aces and two kills for the Bulldogs. Kirston Tanner and Alora Bonner each had five kills for Virgin Valley.

Chaparral 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Jaeda Allen had 14 kills as the Cowboys topped the Patriots, 25-13, 25-18, 25-20.

Rita Mesa-Mola added six kills and two blocks for Chaparral.

Jazmin O’Bannon had eight kills and three blocks, and Reid Morgavi had three aces for Liberty.

Basic 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Leah Causey spiked 15 kills and added four blocks and five digs as the Wolves swept the Trailblazers, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21.

Cristina Kelley had 31 assists and five digs, and Victoria Foutz supplied 12 kills and eight digs for Basic.

Cheyanne Haas dished out 13 assists for Durango. Precious Williams added six kills and eight digs, and Katarina Jaksic had five kills and three blocks for the Trailblazers.

Boulder City 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Boulder City, Mallory Bird put down 11 kills, and Avalon Frantz served 10 aces to lead the Eagles to a 25-9, 25-2, 25-15 sweep of the Jaguars.

Kendall Miller supplied 10 digs and four aces, and Eliza Jeppsen recorded seven kills and five aces for Boulder City.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Janae Yurek-Carhee had 10 kills and four aces to lead the Miners to a 26-24, 25-16, 25-23 win over the Roadrunners.

Tania Amaya chipped in nine aces and two kills, and Diane Manning served four aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Joyann Smith served seven aces for Tech. Kimmie Rodriguez added four kills and four aces, and McKayla Kimball had five kills and three aces for the Roadrunners.

Lake Mead 2, Bishop Gorman JV 0 — At Lake Mead, Megan Watkins had four kills, five assists, three aces and five digs to lead the Eagles to a 25-18, 25-12 win over the Gaels’ junior varsity in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.

Taylor Vetter had five kills, two aces and three digs, and Rachael Watkins had two aces and four digs for Lake Mead, which got three kills from Taylor Webb and three aces from Jenette Hensley.

Calvary Chapel 2, Bishop Gorman JV 0 — At Lake Mead, Brooke Davis had 10 assists and four aces to help the Lions to a 25-8, 25-12 win over Gorman’s junior varsity.

Deja Harris had eight kills, and Alexis Harris had two kills and two aces for Calvary Chapel.

Calvary Chapel 2, Agassi Prep 0 — At Lake Mead, Davis had five assists and three kills as the Lions rolled to a 25-10, 25-6 win over the Stars.

Deja Harris had four kills and two aces, and Alexis Harris and Jamie Mejia each served three aces for Calvary Chapel, which got four kills from McKenna Beckwith.
