ROUNDUP: Levi, Mountain Lions hold off Aggies

Bridgette Levi had 10 kills Monday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team to a 19-25, 28-26, 25-12, 20-25, 15-10 victory over host Arbor View.

Steffany Diaz-Parra added four aces for the Mountain Lions.

Dana Lewis led the Aggies with 13 blocks and three kills, and teammate Jenna McClure had 16 kills, 18 digs and two aces.

Clark 3, Western 1 —
At Clark, Claire Law had 16 assists and seven aces, and Emi Afanoa had eight kills and six aces to lead the Chargers over the Warriors, 25-13, 25-27, 25-13, 25-17.

Shelly Tang had four kills and three blocks, and Victoria Gordon had six kills for Clark, which got five kills from Ashley Ng.

Aleya Ford-Wheaton had three digs, two blocks and two digs, and Teneya Williams added three kills for Western.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 —
 At Las Vegas, Carly Schiess had nine kills, seven digs and two aces, and Jenna Swaffer added 29 assists as the Gators swept the Wildcats, 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Nikki Drost had 13 kills, and Bridgette Dwyer had 11 kills for Green Valley, which got 10 digs and two aces from Amanda Lake.

Marissa Lair paced Las Vegas with 10 kills. Anjelica Ashworth had 13 digs, and Shaleea Butler added seven digs for the Wildcats.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Valley, Taylor Sandhu had 16 assists, four aces and three blocks to lead the Vikings over the Pioneers, 25-21, 25-12, 25-17.

Olga Torres had five digs and three aces, and Diva Carter had four kills and two digs for Valley. Gabby Cabanero had five kills, and Corinne Burton added four kills for the Vikings.

Summer Asturi had 11 digs, and Sydney Morris had seven kills and three blocks for Canyon Springs. Natasha Montano had five assists, and Emily Tuala added three aces for the Pioneers.

Palo Verde 3, Spring Valley 0 —
At Palo Verde, Stephanie Herman had 22 assists, seven digs and two aces to lead the Panthers over the Grizzlies, 25-15, 25-14, 25-12.

Barbara Helms had seven aces, and Kellie Soderberg added three blocks for Palo Verde.

Jessica Rafay had six kills, four digs and two blocks, and Hannah Karas had six digs and two assists for Spring Valley, which got four digs, three blocks, three assists and three kills from Nicole Rafay.

Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 —
At Shadow Ridge, Taylor Spencer had 14 digs and seven aces, and Jasmine Burton had 14 digs to lead the Mustangs over the Trailblazers, 25-22, 25-8, 25-9.

Arianna Smith added eight kills for Shadow Ridge.

Hailee Wilson had 13 digs, and Carly Taylor had eight assists for Durango, which got four kills from Katarina Jaksic.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Gianni Perryman had 22 assists, and Megan Panikkar added 13 assists in the Crusaders’ 25-10, 25-13, 25-15 sweep of the Trojans.

Courtney Hansen had seven kills, and Taylor Hammer contributed six kills for Faith Lutheran, which got three aces from Sam Leonard.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 —
At Basic, Taylor Jackson had 12 kills as the Cougars rolled to a 25-7, 25-9, 25-13 sweep of the Wolves.

Cali Thompson had 30 assists and four aces for Coronado, and teammate Charlie Spietz supplied eight aces and seven digs.

Leah Causey led Basic with seven kills and five digs.

Silverado 3, Rancho 0 — 
At Rancho, Morgan Little had 25 assists, and Kayla Agae had eight kills to help the Skyhawks to a 25-18, 25-7, 25-23 sweep of the Rams.

Lauren Purdy had four blocks and four kills, and Amari Norris added four kills for Silverado. Quintana Reid had eight digs for the Skyhawks.

Destiny Jensen and Monet Wilson each had six digs, and Danielle Carino added four kills for Rancho.

Cheyenne 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jasmine Spurlock had six aces, six assists and three kills as the Desert Shields swept the Rattlers, 25-17, 25-22, 25-12.

Beverly Garcia had nine assists, and Timirra Hearst added seven kills for Cheyenne.

RayEna Rael had four kills and three aces, and Courtney Rampollas distributed six assists for Mojave, which got three aces from Rebecca Espinoza.

Bishop Gorman JV 3, Lake Mead 2 —
 At Gorman, Cecily Bunker had 22 kills and 10 digs as Gorman’s junior varsity posted a 26-28, 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 15-10 win over the Eagles.

Taylor Vetter paced Lake Mead with 14 kills and 16 digs, and teammate Megan Watkins added 22 assists, 11 digs and two kills. Taylor Badua-Kono chipped in 19 digs, and Taylor Webb had five kills and six digs for the Eagles.
