ROUNDUP: Mesa-Mola, Chaparral go distance to down Rancho

Rita Mesa-Mola compiled 18 kills and four blocks Monday to help Chaparral’s girls volleyball team improve to 3-2 in five-set matches with a 24-26, 25-15, 28-26, 22-25, 15-11 win at Rancho.

Jaeda Allen added 14 kills and three blocks for the Cowboys.

Dayna Yamaguchi paced the Rams with 11 assists and 10 digs. Tania Hernandez distributed 10 assists for Rancho, which got seven kills from Morgan Johnson and six kills from Khira Momodu.

Coronado 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Lia Herlosky dished out 44 assists, and Kuulei Piena added 25 digs, 11 kills and three aces as the Cougars outlasted the Skyhawks, 28-26, 25-14, 25-27, 25-15.

Berkeley Oblad supplied 12 kills, and Ally Keller put down 10 kills for Coronado.

Kayla Agae paced Silverado with 27 digs and 24 kills. Morgan Little distributed 25 assists, and Ku’uipo Brown added 14 digs for the Skyhawks.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Eldorado 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Tiara Veal posted 25 assists and two aces as the Miners rallied past the Sundevils, 19-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Alicia Winchester posted 12 kills for the Miners, and teammate Elise Marshall tallied 10 kills and five blocks.

Alexis Vaquero led Eldorado with five kills.

Las Vegas 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Desirae Lair had 11 aces and five kills as the Wildcats blitzed the Jaguars, 25-12, 25-8, 25-13.

Tiffany Jackson had 20 assists, and Marissa Lair added eight kills for Las Vegas.

Cynthia Zack had 15 digs for Desert Pines.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Sofia Navarro had seven digs and seven aces, and Lenore Porter had 14 assists to lead the Vikings to a sweep of the Pioneers, 25-17, 25-14, 26-24.

Gabby Cabanero had nine kills, and Jana Aquino added seven kills for Valley.

Natasha Montano had eight assists to pace Canyon Springs. Breanna Valdepino, Blanca Ramos and Summer Asturi each had two kills, and Sydney Morris had three aces for the Pioneers. 

Green Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kimbrell posted eight kills and 11 assists, and teammate Ashleigh Foster tallied four kills and seven aces as the Gators Swept the Roadrunners, 25-14, 25-17, 25-19.

Alexa Drost had 15 assists and four kills, and Sommer King added eight kills for Green Valley, which got six kills from Julie Dramise.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Emma Khachikian had 10 aces and nine digs as the Falcons rolled to a 25-2, 25-5, 25-11 sweep of the Patriots.

Del Sol 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Emie Coleman had 12 kills and Angela Johnson added 11 kills to lead the Dragons past the Wolves, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Kaleileihua Cabanas had 12 digs for Del Sol.

Wendy Williams had 25 assists, 12 digs and two aces to pace Basic. Kamisha Richardson had 12 kills, five digs and three aces, and Tori Foutz had 15 kills and two blocks for the Wolves.

Tonopah 3, White Pine 2 — At Ely, Elaina Dunn had 17 digs and 10 kills as the Muckers rallied for a 17-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 15-8 win over the Bobcats.

Deanna Van Poucke had 10 kills, five digs and four blocks, and Ashley Eason supplied 25 digs for Tonopah. Alli Friel contributed 13 assists, seven digs and two blocks for the Muckers.

Adelson School 2-2, Mountain View 0-1 — At Adelson School, the Stars swept a doubleheader from the Saints, 25-21, 25-13 and 25-6, 14-25, 15-8.
