ROUNDUP: Motis’ defensive lockdown leads Desert Oasis past Durango

Kelsey Motis had 17 blocks to lead Desert Oasis to a 17-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-15, 16-14 win over host Durango on Tuesday night.

Lenzi Cram added seven kills for the Diamondbacks.

Cherelle Hicks led Durango with 22 kills. Sarah Tullis had 37 assists and Borjana Djukic 23 digs for the Trailblazers.

Bonanza 3, Clark 2 — At Clark, Bree Hammel had 15 kills and seven digs to lead the Bengals to a 25-16, 25-18, 19-25, 23-25, 15-5 win over the Chargers.

Callyn Snow added 12 kills, and Jessica Delp had 15 digs for Bonanza.

Clark’s Xondria Brown had six kills and two blocks, and Danica Ozaki had 20 digs for the Chargers.

Basic 3, Liberty 2 — At Basic, Mercedes James had 10 kills, 14 digs and two aces to lead the Wolves to a 23-25, 25-12, 14-25, 26-24, 15-12 victory over the Patriots.

Tara Patchet had 12 kills, 10 digs and five aces for Basic.

Palo Verde 3, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Tori Lounsbery recorded 27 assists and 18 digs, and Jovana Sisovic added 12 kills and 11 digs to help the Panthers down the Mustangs, 26-24, 25-18, 20-25, 25-13.

Ainsley Lovejoy had eight kills and five blocks for Palo Verde.

Shadow Ridge’s Kylee Schraft had 18 kills and 11 digs, and Destinee Beavers added 11 kills and two aces for the Mustangs.

Eldorado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Eldorado, Kasey Bradshaw had 15 digs, five kills and four aces to lead the Sundevils over the Pioneers, 25-20, 25-20, 25-13.

Marrisa Mousseau had 22 assists and 15 digs, Chelsea Sallender had four aces and four kills, and Candice Watkins had 13 kills and three blocks for Eldorado.

Foothill 3, Tech 0 — At Foothill, Kelsey McFarland notched five kills and four aces, and Christina Nash added 19 assists and two kills as the Falcons beat the Roadrunners, 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Foothill’s Rhianna Gelhart had six kills and two aces, and  Brittany Fraser had six kills for the Falcons.

Katie Lucas had seven digs, four aces and four kills for Tech.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Morgan Vieira had 18 assists, 10 digs, six aces and three kills to lead the Bulldogs past the Spartans, 25-10, 26-24, 25-12.

Tiffany Chapman added 13 digs, and Kaitlin Kelly had eight kills and three digs for Centennial.

Cimarron’s Merrik Frost had 11 assists and 10 digs, and Desiree Luca had nine digs for the Spartans.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Cat Acdan had five aces and five digs, and Angie Batalona had 22 assists to lead the Mountain Lions 25-18, 25-12, 25-13 over the Grizzlies.

Brooke Robinson added 12 kills for Sierra Vista.

Elena Kniola notched six digs and two kills, and teammate Shannon Larson posted six digs for Spring Valley.

Las Vegas 3, Chaparral 0 — At Las Vegas, Tiffany Jackson had 23 assists and seven digs, and Danica Pickett supplied eight kills and nine digs as the Wildcats beat the Cowboys, 25-11, 25-9, 25-13.

Ruth Wittig had eight digs and eight aces, and teammate Breanna Melton added eight kills and five digs for Las Vegas.

Silverado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Marilyn Agae had 15 assists, and Taylor Richard added eight kills to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 win over the Dragons. 

Kaitlin Keathley had six kills for Silverado.

Lyndee Rivera had 10 assists and Natalie Korzenowski contributed six digs for Del Sol.

Faith Lutheran 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Hayley Washinsky had nine kills and Taylor Hammer eight, to lead the Crusaders to a 25-12, 25-10, 25-8 win over the Rattlers.

Ana Lucchese had 13 assists, and Chelsea Kronschnabel added 12 aces and seven digs for Faith Lutheran.

Rancho 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Rancho, Aisha Momodu had seven kills and six aces as the Rams swept Sunrise Mountain, 25-16, 25-11, 25-13.

Rachel Wiltshire added four aces and five assists for Rancho. 

Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Lenore Porter had 25 assists, four digs and five aces to lead the Vikings past the Jaguars, 25-7, 25-6, 25-13.

Valley’s Brianna Johnson had 10 kills, four digs and three aces, and Aliza Robinson added six kills and two blocks for the Vikings.

Bishop Gorman 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Kylie Shaw had 16 kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-18, 25-18, 25-16 win over the Trojans.

Liz Manthei added 12 digs, nine assists and nine kills for Gorman.

Arbor View 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Lorin Rader had 10 assists and three aces, and Tori Dunn supplied six kills to help the Aggies beat the Desert Shields, 25-15, 25-11, 25-14.

Micaila McErlean added five kills for Arbor View.

Lake Mead 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Ashley Newton had 19 kills and 13 digs to lead Lake Mead to a 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 25-23 win over Boulder City.

Sam Herman had 11 kills, three aces, six digs and four blocks, and Amanda Wellman added 18 digs and 11 aces for Lake Mead.

Lexi Jorgensen had 11 kills and Paxton Fleming dished out 25 assists for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Virgin Valley, Rachel Morris had nine kills and Mattie Boller six to lead the Bulldogs over the Pirates, 25-15, 25-16, 25-22.

Nicki Hafen added 21 assists for Virgin Valley.
