ROUNDUP: Phillips, Mountain Lions rally past host Trojans

McCall Phillips had 12 kills and 12 digs Friday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 15-6 win over host Pahrump Valley.

Chyna Williams dished out 45 assists for Sierra Vista, and teammate Shelby Stiles tallied five kills and 10 digs.

Taylor McJunkin led Pahrump Valley with nine kills, and Zoe Bertz added six kills.

Sara Wulfenstein had 14 assists for the Trojans, and Reegan Van Engen posted 10 blocks.

Arbor View 3, Legacy 0 — At Arbor View, Allison McClure delivered 15 assists and three aces as the Aggies swept the Longhorns, 25-11, 25-13, 25-16.

Amber Graham had six kills and five aces, and Erika Kelly added six kills and three aces for Arbor View, which got five aces and four kills from Micaila McErlean.

Angela Foremaster distributed eight assists, and Jessica Van Alsen contributed four kills and two aces for Legacy.

Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Centennial, Talia Barnes posted 11 blocks and two kills to help the Bulldogs cruise past the Mustangs, 25-10, 25-20, 25-13.

Lacy Miyahira added 15 assists, six kills, two aces and seven digs for Centennial, which got 10 kills, two aces and four digs from Kassidy Welte.

Sierra Long supplied four kills and two blocks for the Bulldogs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Kelsey McCourt had 43 assists and four aces as the Crusaders routed the Desert Shields, 25-5, 25-10, 25-16.

Taylor Hammer tallied nine kills for Faith Lutheran, and Kayla Nikodemus and Taylor Richards each added seven kills. The Crusaders’ Courtney Hansen supplied six kills and four aces.

Brandi Cole had three kills for Cheyenne, and Jenna Mecham added two kills and two blocks.

Clark 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Michelle Diamant had 11 kills and three blocks, and June Roberts added 10 kills and three blocks as the Chargers swept the Diamondbacks, 25-23, 27-25, 25-17.

Jessica Silva supplied eight kills and three blocks for Clark.

Emily Heinz led the Diamondbacks with 10 kills, 14 digs and four blocks. Kindra Stanfield had 18 assists, three kills and four digs for Desert Oasis, and Tianna Jefferson tallied three kills and seven digs.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Durango, Sarah Tullis had 24 assists, and Hailee Wilson put down 11 kills as the Trailblazers cruised to a 25-14, 25-10, 25-16 win over the Grizzlies.

Mariah Fuentes had 11 digs for Durango, which got seven kills from Cheyanne Haas and five aces from London Estrada.

Rachel Milam paced Spring Valley with 14 digs and seven kills, and Tori Patterson added 10 assists and eight digs. Nicole Rafay had nine digs, four kills and four blocks for the Grizzlies.

Bishop Gorman 3, Western 0 — At Gorman, Kylee Chun’s 21 assists and five aces helped the Gaels to a 25-8, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of the Warriors.

Gianna Ruggeroli and Rachel Wallace each spiked eight kills, and Shelby Devlin added five kills for Gorman.

Paea Savou and Carol Riggs dished out 11 assists apiece for Western, which got four kills from Brittany Moreland.

Palo Verde 2, Amphi (Ariz.) 0 — At Mesa, Ariz., Stephanie Herman had 15 assists and three digs as the Panthers topped Amphi, 25-22, 25-19 in the Mountain View Invitational.

Kendall Cheval had seven kills, and Melanie Gueorguiev added four kills and four digs for Palo Verde.

Palo Verde 2, Nogales (Ariz.) 1 — At Mesa, Ariz., Herman had 21 assists and eight digs, and Faryn Duncan added 10 digs in the Panthers’ 19-25, 25-14, 15-11 win over Nogales.

Mikayla Diera had six kills and two digs for Palo Verde.

Palo Verde 2, Sunnyside (Ariz.) 0 — At Mesa, Ariz., Herman logged 14 assists and four digs, and Diers added four kills, three digs and two aces as the Panthers rolled to a 25-4, 25-9 win over Sunnyside.

Gueorguiev added four aces and three digs for Palo Verde.

Mountain View (Ariz.) 2, Palo Verde 1 — At Mesa, Ariz., the host school downed the Panthers, 25-18, 24-26, 16-14.

Herman posted 23 assists, seven digs and three kills, and Cheval had 13 digs and five kills for Palo Verde. Lexi Riggs supplied eight kills and four digs, and Conner Morrissey contributed seven kills and three blocks for Palo Verde.

Moapa Valley 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Overton, Emma Eira posted 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Pirates to a 25-18, 25-13, 22-25, 25-16 win over the Bulldogs.

Summer Owens had 22 digs, and Shelbie Gray added three blocks and three kills for Moapa Valley.

Josie Grajek paced Virgin Valley with 13 digs, six kills and three aces. Alora Bonner added 10 digs and four blocks, and Nikki Arquette supplied seven digs and six blocks for the Bulldogs.

Boulder City 3, Mojave 0 — At Boulder City, Avalon Frantz compiled 22 assists and five aces, and Ali Rants had 21 digs in the Eagles’ 25-10, 25-8, 25-13 sweep of the Rattlers.

Whitney Barlow had eight kills, and Alexa Lister contributed six kills and three blocks for Boulder City.

Calvary Chapel 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Calvary Chapel, Brettani Davis totaled 19 digs and six kills as the Lions rolled to a pair of sweeps, 25-14, 25-19 and 25-14, 25-15.

Brettani Davis also had five aces in the nightcap. Brooke Davis totaled seven kills for the Lions.

Caitlyn Chamberlain had 11 digs in the first match for Calvary Chapel, and Jamie Mejia supplied eight kills and three blocks for the Lions in the second match.

The Meadows 2-2, Needles 0-0 — At The Meadows, Alex Hall had 10 assists, eight digs, six kills and four aces in the opener, and eight kills, seven digs, seven assists and seven aces in the nightcap of a 25-7, 25-13 and 25-8, 25-10 sweep of Needles.

Victoria Onufrieff had nine digs and two aces in the first match and nine digs and five aces in the second match for The Meadows.

In the opener, Amber Peterson and Lena Schulhofer had six digs for The Meadows, and teammate Hannah Brown had five kills in the finale.

Lake Mead 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Lake Mead, Colleen Zumaran tallied four kills and 12 digs in the first match, and six kills and 16 digs in the second to help the Eagles take a doubleheader from the Cougars, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-18, 25-14.

In the opener, Shannon Regan had five kills and two aces, and Tessa McQuillan added four kills and eight digs for Lake Mead, which got three aces and seven digs from Taylor Vetter.

In the nightcap, Regan added four kills, and Vetter had 11 digs, six assists and three aces for the Eagles.

Lincoln County 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At Panaca, Nicole Florence had five kills in the opener and six kills and two aces in the nightcap to help the Lynx sweep a doubleheader from the Stars, 25-19, 25-12 and 25-21, 25-16.

Courtney Lloyd added five kills in the first match, and Britten Hafen dished out four assists for Lincoln County, which got four aces from Lacee Babcock and three aces from Kourtney Gloeckner.

In the nightcap, Tia Florence had five kills for the Lynx, and Babcock supplied three aces.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Tonopah 0 — At Tonopah, Halie Lewis put down 20 kills, six digs and three aces to help the Panthers sweep the Muckers, 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

Kyla Mortensen added 14 kills and two aces, and Kimberly Lewis supplied 19 assists, three kills and five digs for Pahranagat Valley, which got 10 assists and four digs from Kennedy Huntsman.

Deanna VanPoucke had six kills, five digs, three blocks and two aces for Tonopah, and Alli Friel supplied six assists and three kills.

Elaina Dunn added eight digs and four kills for the Muckers, who got three assists and five digs from Sydney Maughan and three kills from Harley Maughan.

Round Mountain 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Sandy Valley, the Knights rolled to a 25-10, 25-22, 25-18 sweep.
