ROUNDUP: Price helps Mountain Lions edge Trailblazers

Taylor Price had 17 kills and three blocks Monday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team to a 14-25, 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 15-12 home win over Durango.

Chyna Williams added 21 assists for the Mountain Lions, who got 10 assists, five kills and two aces from Shelby Stiles, and five kills from McCall Phillips.

Hailee Wilson had 14 kills for the Trailblazers. Teammate Sarah Tuillis dished out 19 assists, and Mariah Fuentos supplied 16 digs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Kelsey McCourt had 45 assists and seven digs, Vanessa Sigman had 12 kills and six digs and the Crusaders came back from a 2-1 deficit to nip the Mustangs, 17-25, 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Taylor Hammer had 11 kills for Faith Lutheran, teammate Taylor Richards had eight kills and six digs and Sam Leonard added 12 digs, eight kills and four blocks.

Destinee Beavers poured in 20 kills for Shadow Ridge, and Niehely Sosa had 12 kills, four aces and three blocks.

Bonanza 3, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Jessica Wilcox recorded 12 kills, 15 digs and four aces as the Bengals downed the Trojans, 25-22, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22.

Mady Huntsman had eight kills and Sam Kapschke seven for Bonanza.

Taylor McJunkin led the Trojans with seven kills, and Sarah Wulfenstein added 12 assists for Pahrump.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Toree Manumaleuna had nine kills and four aces as the Spartans defeated the Rattlers, 25-20, 25-11, 25-16.

Jenna Charles added five kills and four assists for the Spartans.

Celeste Manumaleuna led Mojave with eight kills and four digs.

Legacy 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Angela Foremaster had 16 assists and three aces, and Jordyn Vulpi recorded 14 assists and three aces as the Longhorns defeated the Desert Shields, 25-19, 25-13, 25-20.

Ashley Goor had six kills and two blocks, and teammate Whitney Adar had seven kills for Legacy.

Jenna Mecham led Cheyenne with six kills and five blocks. Avion Calhoun added five blocks and five kills for the Desert Shields.

Desert Oasis 3, Western 0 — At Western, Kindra Stanfield had 16 assists, 15 digs, four aces and seven kills to lead the Diamondbacks to a 25-12, 25-17, 25-18 win over the Warriors.

Brittany Jensen added 12 digs and Emily Heinz had six kills, seven digs and five aces for Desert Oasis.

Carol Riggs paced Western with 20 assists and two aces.

Clark 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Michelle Diamant had 10 kills to lead the Chargers to a 25-22, 25-16, 25-13 sweep of the Grizzlies.

Alexa Springs had nine kills, and Gabrielle Jaehn added five kills for Clark.

Rachel Milam paced Spring Valley with six kills, seven digs and two blocks. Hannah Karas added 12 digs for the Grizzlies.

Canyon Springs 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Canyon Springs, Sydney Morris had five aces, two blocks and two kills, and Natasha Montano had six assists to lead the Pioneers over the Bulldogs, 25-23, 25-22, 25-14.

Breanna Valdespino had two aces and two blocks, and Emily Tuala added three kills for Canyon Springs.

Virgin Valley’s Nikki Arquette had 12 assists, four digs and two kills, and Alora Bonner had eight kills and four digs for the Bulldogs.

Moapa Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Mallory Reid recorded six kills and six blocks, and teammate Emma Eira had six kills and five aces as the Pirates downed the Rams, 25-14, 25-21, 25-18.

Dayna Yamaguchi led Rancho with nine assists.

Boulder City 3, Tech 0 — At Boulder City, Whitney Barlow had seven kills and three aces as the Eagles rolled to a 25-8, 25-10, 25-15 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Boulder City’s Ali Rants had 18 digs and three aces, Avalon Frantz supplied 18 assists and three aces, and Alexa Lister added five kills.

Mountain View 3, Indian Springs 1 — At Mountain View, Sydney Saultz had five kills, and Aariel Armstrong had five aces to lead the Saints past the Thunderbirds, 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20.
