ROUNDUP: Sandhu, Cabanero vault Valley girls past Tech

Taylor Sandhu dished out 20 assists, and Gabby Cabanero supplied 11 kills and two blocks Friday to lead Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-13, 25-17 sweep of visiting Tech.

Diva Carter had eight kills and four aces, and Olga Torres contributed six digs and four aces for the Vikings.

McKayla Kimball had two kills for Tech.

Pahrump Valley 3, Del Sol 1 — At Pahrump, Payton Hart had 10 kills, and Bryanna Soliwoda distributed 18 assists in the Trojans’ 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 25-15 win over the Dragons.

Shayla Dance had six kills, and Makayla Davis added five blocks for Pahrump.

Kaleileihua Cabanas had 11 kills and six digs to pace Del Sol. Taylor Curtis added six kills, and Azhwalaee Oliver had four blocks and three kills for the Dragons.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Chalon Henderson posted seven kills and three aces, and Erica Padilla contributed 11 assists and three digs to lead the Spartans to a 25-14, 25-7, 25-13 sweep of the Chargers.

Kiana Carter had five kills, and Sarina Cresswell added four kills, three aces and seven digs for Cimarron.

Clark was led by Schea Mores’ eight digs. June Roberts also had five kills, and Ashley Ng had six kills for the Chargers.

Boulder City 3, Moapa Valley 1 — At Boulder City, Avalon Frantz had 43 assists and five kills to lift the Eagles to a 25-17, 25-17, 15-25, 25-19 victory over the Pirates.

Kendall Miller had 22 digs, and Whitney Barlow added 13 kills and five aces for Boulder City.

Calvary Chapel 3, Lake Mead 0 — At Calvary Chapel, Brooke Davis racked up 24 assists, nine digs, three aces and two kills, and Deja Harris supplied 14 kills, two blocks, two aces and four digs to help the Lions to a 25-13, 25-16, 25-22 sweep of the Eagles.

Alexis Harris had eight kills, and Jamie Mejia contributed four digs, three kills and three aces for Calvary Chapel, which got 13 digs from Athena Lewis.

Taylor Vetter had five kills, three aces and 12 digs to pace Lake Mead. Megan Watkins added 14 digs and five assists, and Taylor Badua Kono had 13 digs and two aces for the Eagles.

The Meadows 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Mountain View, Alex Hall had five kills, 11 digs and two aces in the opener and nine kills, 13 digs and three aces in the nightcap as the Mustangs posted a 25-14, 25-10 and 25-19, 25-11 sweep of the Saints.

Nikki Lenardson had three blocks, three kills and two aces, and Amber Peterson contributed four kills and three digs for the Mustangs in the first match.

In the second match, Lena Schulhofer supplied 10 aces, seven assists and five digs and Peterson added five kills for the Mustangs.

Alley Cintron had seven blocks for Mountain View in the doubleheader, and teammate Mallori Mauck added three kills.

Lincoln County 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Laughlin, Kaylee Teel has six kills in the opener and seven kills in the nightcap of the Lynx’s 25-6, 25-15 and 25-17, 25-17 sweep of the Cougars.

In the opening match, Kayla Mathews had seven kills, and Britten Hafen added nine assists for Lincoln County, which got seven assists from Bailey Free.

In the nightcap, Elle Scott had six kills, and Mathews spiked five kills for the Lynx. Free had nine assists, two kills and four aces, and Hafen supplied eight assists, two kills and two aces.

Tonopah 3, Round Mountain 0 — At Tonopah, Deanna Van Poucke supplied seven kills, six aces and two blocks, and Alli Friel added 13 assists and four kills as the Muckers swept Round Mountain 25-10, 25-9, 25-11.

Sydney Maughan also contributed 13 digs, and Elise Salsbury tallied 10 assists for Tonopah.

Indian Springs 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Sandy Valley, the Thunderbirds were 25-16, 25-14, 25-21 winners over the Sidewinders.
