ROUNDUP: Stankosky, Rams shock Wildcats

Sydnee Stankosky had 13 kills and four aces, and Danielle Carino added 11 kills Thursday to help Rancho’s girls volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-22, 13-25, 25-18 win over visiting Las Vegas.

Breanna White had five kills and seven blocks, and Destiny Jensen supplied 11 digs and three aces for the Rams.

Matti Ventling paced the Wildcats with 19 assists, four kills and three aces. Charlai Francis had five kills and three blocks, and L’Tiah Davis added six kills and two blocks for Las Vegas.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Shelby Stiles had 17 kills and eight assists to guide the Mountain Lions past the Grizzlies, 16-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19.

Chanel Charles added six kills for Sierra Vista.

Jessica Rafay had 11 assists, and Hannah Karas added 16 digs for Spring Valley, which got eight kills from Ahnamia Maranon.

Pahrump Valley 3, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Payton Hart had 16 kills, and Bryanna Soliwada distributed 19 assists to lead the Trojans to a 25-9, 24-26, 25-21, 25-10 win over the Rattlers.

Makayla Davis had six blocks, and Alyssa Murphy added three assists for Pahrump.

Silverado 3, Valley 0 — At Silverado, Melanie Srok served seven aces to lead the Skyhawks to a 25-15, 25-6, 25-19 victory over the Vikings.

Kayla Agae had four kills and six digs, and Amari Norris added four kills for Silverado, which got seven assists from Morgan Little.

Diva Carter had two kills and nine digs, and Taylor Sandhu had eight assists for Valley. Ma’Kayla Hicks had three kills, and Liza Aperacho added six digs for the Vikings.

Shadow Ridge 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Ashley Smith had 10 kills and five aces for the Mustangs in a sweep of the Aggies, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Ashley Pierce contributed six kills and five aces, and Jasmine Burton had 13 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Jenna McClure had three kills, six assists and four digs for Arbor View, which got six blocks apiece from Kayla Papuga and Sam Bales.

Palo Verde 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Stephanie Herman dished out 26 assists, and McCall Phillips put down six kills to help the Panthers sweep the Trailblazers, 25-7, 25-8, 25-16.

Paige Baker added four kills for Palo Verde.

Katarina Jaksic led Durango with four kills, and teammate Carly Taylor had two kills.

Faith Lutheran 3, Western 0 — At Western, Megan Panikkar had nine assists, and Taylor Richards supplied five aces and five kills to help the Crusaders sweep the Warriors, 25-9, 25-16, 25-16.

Gianni Perryman had seven assists, and Cayla Nikodemus recorded four kills and four aces for Faith Lutheran.

Yatzi Carranza had five blocks and two kills, and Caplicia Pierce supplied two blocks, two digs and two kills for Western.

Green Valley 3, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Bridgette Dwyer had 13 kills, three aces and four digs to lead the Gators to a 25-10, 25-17, 25-14 win over the Bulldogs.

Nikki Drost had 12 kills and five digs for Green Valley, and teammate Carly Schiess added eight kills and seven digs.

Nani Padilla paced Centennial with three kills and four digs. Taylor Hartle and Talia Barnes each had four kills for the Bulldogs.

Clark 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Claire Law had 16 assists and five aces to help the Chargers sweep the Desert Shields.

Schae Mores supplied 15 digs and three aces, and Emi Afanoa added nine kills and two aces for Clark.

Moapa Valley 3, Pahranagat Valley 0 — At Overton, Kimberly Lewis had 35 assists as the Pirates beat the Panthers 25-22, 26-24, 25-22.

Tabitha Witsken recorded 13 digs for Moapa Valley.

The Meadows 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At The Meadows, Alex Hall had eight kills and three aces in the opener and three kills, seven aces and two blocks in the nightcap as the Mustangs swept the Stars, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-9, 25-10.

In the first match, Nikki Lenardson had three blocks, three aces and two kills, and Katie Magness had eight digs for The Meadows.

Amber Peterson had six kills, and Lenardson supplied three kills and six aces for the Mustangs in the second match.
