ROUNDUP: Valley girls pick up road sweep at Chaparral

Maureen Aquino and Brianna Johnson each had eight kills and five aces Tuesday to lead Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 26-24, 25-16 sweep at Chaparral.

Lenore Porter had 21 assists, and Krystal Harrington added seven kills for Valley.

Eldorado 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Eldorado, Casey Bradshaw had five kills and 14 digs, and Marissa Mousseau had seven kills and 24 assists to lead the Sundevils to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-14 win over the Jaguars.

Chelsea Sallender added six aces and six kills for Eldorado.

Michelle Estella led Desert Pines with six digs.

Las Vegas 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Las Vegas, Danica Pickett had six kills and six digs as the Wildcats defeated the Miners, 25-13, 25-7, 25-11.

Breanna Melton added five aces, and Natresha Bernard had five kills for Las Vegas.

Rancho 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Rancho, Alex Padilla recorded 17 assists and eight aces, and Aisha Momodu had eight kills and three blocks to help the Rams beat the Pioneers, 25-21, 25-13, 25-10.

Chelsea Easton added six kills for Rancho.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Katie Gamsky had 19 assists and 10 digs to help the Cougars to a 25-18, 25-17, 25-14 win over the Wolves.

Kristen Herlosky added 10 kills, and Kuulei Piena added nine kills, six digs and two aces for Coronado.

Liberty 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Holly Vergara had 12 assists and three kills, and Amanda Delgado added 12 kills as the Patriots beat the Roadrunners, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

Jen Ngonkahmbay led Tech with six digs and two aces.

Foothill 3, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Christina Nash had 12 assists and three kills to help the Falcons to a 17-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-17 win over the Dragons.

Jasmine Fuentes had six aces and Danielle Bellini five kills for Foothill.

Del Sol’s Lindy Rivera had 19 assists. Natalie Korzenowski added 12 kills and five digs for the Dragons.

Virgin Valley 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Nikki Hafen tallied 39 assists and Rachel Morris supplied 15 kills as the Bulldogs took down the Eagles, 25-21, 25-19, 22-25, 25-20.

Lexi Jorgensen had 14 kills and Karlee Koopman 12 blocks for Boulder City.

Lake Mead 3, Trinity 0 — At Lake Mead, Jocelyn Cox had 21 assists and four digs to help the Eagles sweep the Thunder, 25-15, 25-9, 25-8.

Ashley Newton had 11 kills, three aces and two digs for Lake Mead. Amanda Wellman had nine aces, three kills and three digs, and Heather Hillenbrand added eight kills for the Eagles.

Calvary Chapel 3, Henderson International 1 — At Henderson International, the Lions scored the final eight points of the pivotal third game to post a 25-21, 26-28, 26-24, 25-11 win over the Wolverines.

Laura Perri had 28 assists and four aces for the Lions. Bri Ridley added 18 kills and Brettani Davis 10 digs for Calvary Chapel. Eboni Brown had eight kills and 10 digs for the Lions.

Lee Harrison had 14 kills and six blocks, and Fabi Pachas had eight kills for the Wolverines. Hailey Schulz contributed five kills and four blocks for Henderson International.

Indian Springs 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, the Thunderbirds downed the Lions, 25-14, 25-15, 25-11.
