Tonopah rattles off six straight wins, takes Battle Mountain Invitational

Britney Klapper dished out 47 assists, served 12 aces and had eight kills as Tonopah's girls volleyball team swept six straight matches Friday and Saturday to win the Battle Mountain Invitational.
The Muckers didn't drop a game in the tournament and defeated the host school, 25-23, 25-23 in the championship match.
Amanda O'Donnell added 21 kills and 13 digs for the Muckers. Sam Kimber registered 17 kills and 15 blocks, and Deanna VanPoucke racked up 20 kills, 15 blocks and four digs for Tonopah.
Elaina Dunn chipped in with 14 digs, 10 aces and five kills for Tonopah.
The Muckers downed Battle Mountain (25-15, 25-24), Round Mountain (25-11, 25-7), McDermitt (25-15, 25-23) and Carlin (25-9, 25-9) in pre-bracket play, and advanced to the championship by downing Owyhee (25-11, 25-6) in the Gold Bracket semifinals.
