VOLLEYBALL: Aggies beat Trailblazers, move into three-way tie in Northwest

Tamani Simmons racked up 23 kills, and Jenna McClure provided 38 assists and seven aces Tuesday to help Arbor View’s girls volleyball team win 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14 at Durango.

Karli Beas had 21 digs and three aces for the Aggies, which moved into a three-way tie with Durango and Spring Valley for third place in the Northwest League with only one match remaining.

Trea Ortega had 10 kills, 13 digs and two aces, and Precious Williams supplied six kills and 14 digs for the Trailblazers, which got five kills and seven digs from Cheyanne Haas.

Chaparral 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Hannah Kirschbaum had 12 kills, and Carminda Greenstone added five kills and 17 digs to help the Cowboys rally for a 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 26-24 win over the Miners.

Rebekah Sylcott had 16 digs for Chaparral.

Evelyn Lopez paced Sunrise Mountain with 24 assists, five kills and two aces. Deanna Manning added nine kills, eight digs and three aces, and Brittany Veal had eight kills and eight digs for the Miners, which got 11 digs from Rebecca Ramirez.

Palo Verde 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Stephanie Herman notched 40 assists, 10 aces, and eight digs to help the Panthers to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-27, 25-12 win over the Mountain Lions.

Kendall Cheval supplied 11 kills and eight digs, and Faryn Duncan added 16 digs for Palo Verde, which got 10 kills from Lexi Riggs.

Kira Felise had 23 assists and six digs, and Sydney Land posted 10 blocks and six kills to lead Sierra Vista.

Coronado 3, Foothill 0 — At Coronado, Berkeley Oblad had 11 kills and two blocks, and Cali Thompson added 30 assists and seven aces as the Cougars swept the Falcons, 25-14, 25-17, 25-9 to complete a perfect Southeast League season.

Taylor Jackson had nine kills, and Brooke Garlick contributed seven kills for Coronado.

Rebecca Hill had seven kills and two aces, and Christina Beaver added 15 assists and six digs for Foothill, which got 12 digs from Korina Bush.

Liberty 3, Eldorado 0 — At Liberty, Sage Melchoir dished out 19 assists to lead the Patriots to a 25-14, 25-22, 25-13 sweep of the Sundevils.

Reid Morgavi supplied seven kills and seven digs, and Nathalia Leilua added five kills and five assists for Liberty.

Dakota Coombs led Eldorado with seven assists.

Moapa Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Overton, Makenzie Bush tallied 13 kills and two aces, and Alex Peterson provided 12 kills and four aces as the Pirates swept the Jaguars 25-14, 25-18, 25-13.

Emily Mills dished out 30 assists, and Tahnee German supplied two aces for Moapa Valley.

Melissa Benford had two kills and two aces, and Anna Torres added four digs for Desert Pines.

Basic 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Christina Kelley racked up 21 assists, three kills, three aces and four digs to help the Wolves to a 25-15, 25-12, 25-10 sweep of the Dragons.

Kali Weires had 11 kills and two blocks, and Autumn Philipczyk supplied seven kills, two aces and two digs for Basic.

Taylor Curtis paced Del Sol with four kills, five digs, two blocks and two aces. Azhwalaee Oliver added two kills, four blocks and 14 digs, and Sierra Morales had two kills and 14 digs for the Dragons.

Shadow Ridge 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Ashley Smith pounded down 28 kills, and Olivia Denny had 37 assists as the Mustangs swept the Grizzlies 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.

Hannah Karas notched 12 digs, and Nicole Rafay had 10 kills for Spring Valley, which also got eight kills from Rachel Milam.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Mountain View 0 —At Mountain View, the Panthers were 25-11, 25-9, 25-21 winners over the Saints.

Aariel Armstrong had four kills, and Lindsay Kessler supplied 10 digs for Mountain View, which also got nine digs from Elle Germany.

Boulder City 3, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, the Eagles were 25-12, 25-18, 25-16 winners over the Bulldogs.
