VOLLEYBALL: Chargers shake off slow start to beat Miners
Angel Jamerson supplied 19 assists, 11 digs, seven kills and seven aces as Clark's girls volleyball team rallied for a 17-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21 win over host Sunrise Mountain on Thursday.
Alexandria Brown had 13 digs and five kills, and teammate Lindsey Folkerts supplied eight blocks and six kills for Clark.
Lauren Marcus contributed nine kills and six digs for the Chargers, who also got 12 digs from Tearra Camacho.
Rebecca Ramirez had 12 digs to lead Sunrise Mountain.
Ayla Diaz added six aces for the Miners, and teammate Andrea Garner had four aces.
Bonanza 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Bonanza, Hayley Huntsman had 15 kills, 28 assists and five aces to lead the Bengals to a 20-25, 25-10, 25-16, 25-11 victory over the Grizzlies.
Sydney Dunn added nine kills and 20 digs for Bonanza, and teammate Brianna Hernandez-Silva had 32 digs.
Shadow Ridge 3, Silverado 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Whittnee Nihipali had 15 kills, two aces, 11 digs and two blocks to lead the Mustangs to a 25-17, 29-27, 25-18 sweep of the Skyhawks.
Shadow Ridge's Eadara Files had four kills, 22 assists, three aces and three blocks, and Stacey Hone had seven kills and five blocks for the Mustangs.
Sydney Berenyi had 15 kills, four aces and 18 digs to lead Silverado.
Tehani Faitau had 40 assists, and teammate Emma Wenth had 16 digs for the Skyhawks.
Faith Lutheran 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Bryanna Neagle had seven kills and eight blocks as the Crusaders swept the Mountain Lions, 25-10, 25-13, 25-13.
Sydney Washington had six kills and five blocks, and Bobbi Tharaldson had eight kills and eight digs for Faith Lutheran.
Megan Kronschnabel added 29 assists and three aces for the Crusaders.
Sierra Vista's Aryana Justice had four kills, and Heaven Gutierrez had 11 digs for the Mountain Lions.
Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Coronado, Nikki Jackson had 16 kills, four digs, three blocks and two aces as the Cougars defeated the Patriots, 25-20, 25-19, 25-10.
Madison Karich added 11 kills, and Cali Thompson had 41 assists, six digs, and four aces for the Cougars.
Maggie Heim led Liberty with eight kills and three aces. Ashley Rodriguez added four kills and two aces for the Patriots, and teammate Rianna Baliza had six digs.
Arbor View 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Arbor View, Alyson Jeeves had 29 assists and three aces to lead the Aggies to a 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 victory over the Wildcats.
Hannah Goddard had 12 kills, four aces and three blocks, and Sarah Goddard added 10 kills for Arbor View.
Natalia Pia had four kills and three aces for the Aggies.
Tajanae Davis led Las Vegas with five kills and 13 digs. Alexandria Roberson and Selena Rodriguez each added four kills for the Wildcats.
Green Valley 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Green Valley, Rachel Klopfer had 11 kills and five aces as the Gators beat the Diamondbacks, 25-13, 25-21, 25-18.
Maya Hill added five kills and three blocks, and Carlee Becker had 20 assists and three kills for Green Valley.
Madison Norr led Desert Oasis with five kills and seven assists, and teammate Kira Beckerle had two kills, nine assists, six digs and two aces.
Bishop Gorman 3, Pine View (Utah) 0 — At Gorman, Vashti Cunningham had 10 kills and four blocks, and Kylie Gibson added nine kills as the Gaels swept the Panthers, 25-8, 25-23, 25-16.
Lilly Hoff finished with 14 assists and four digs, and Sydney Lobato had 12 assists and two kills for Gorman.
Ashley Brennan (four kills) and Alysia Nielson (22 digs, two aces) also contributed for the Gaels.
Rancho 3, Valley 0 — At Rancho, Kayla Coles served 10 aces to lead the Rams to a 25-5, 25-6, 25-4 sweep of the Vikings.
Serenity Sivongsa had eight assists, and teammate Karime Raygoza added five kills for Rancho.
Moapa Valley 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Moapa Valley, Eden Whitmore had six kills, and Kyla Shumway added four kills as the Pirates defeated the Desert Shields, 25-12, 25-13, 25-14.
Karina Toro had four aces for Cheyenne.
Calvary Chapel 2, Word of Life 0 — At Lake Mead, Olivia Kaiser had seven kills to lead the Lions to a 25-16, 25-10 win over the Eagles in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.
Calvary Chapel's Macayla Odom had eight assists, and Mariah Martin had seven assists for the Lions, who got five kills from Gabriella Abi-Nader.
Calvary Chapel 2, Liberty Baptist 0 — At Lake Mead, Kaiser supplied eight kills and five digs to guide the Lions to a 25-21, 25-14 victory over the Eagles in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.
Martin had 15 assists, and Malia Lee had four kills for Calvary Chapel.

Boulder City 3, Basic 2 — At Basic, the Eagles outlasted the Wolves, 25-15, 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-6.
Azure Werner had 16 kills, 11 assists and four blocks for Basic. Skylar Robbins added 15 assists and five digs, and Kiara Richardson had four kills, 13 digs and five blocks.
Virgin Valley 3, Pahranagat Valley 1 — At Alamo, the Bulldogs beat the Panthers, 25-12, 20-25, 25-19, 25-23.
Pahranagat Valley's Madison Harris had 10 kills and 10 digs, and Allyse Frehner added 13 assists for the Panthers.
The Meadows 2-2, Quest Academy 0-0 — At The Meadows, Reese Hodapp had eight aces in each match as the Mustangs swept the Knights, 25-7, 25-5 and 25-4, 25-3.
Katie Otter had four aces and two digs in the first match. Hodapp added six digs in the nightcap.
