VOLLEYBALL: Cougars secure Southeast League title by beating Falcons

Carolyn Andrulis had 10 kills, five aces and nine digs Monday as Coronado’s girls volleyball team secured the Southeast League title with a 25-15, 25-5, 25-18 sweep of host Foothill.
Berkley Oblad had eight kills and two blocks, and Nikki Jackson had 12 kills for the Cougars. Cali Thompson had 38 assists, and Navi Lee had five kills and 16 digs for Coronado.
Rebecca Hill lhad six kills and four digs, and Olivia Stet added five kills, five digs and two blocks for the Falcons, who got 14 assists from Christina Beaver.
Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Ashley Smith had 16 kills and six digs as the Mustangs wrapped up the Southwest League title with a 25-10, 25-12, 26-24 win over the Trailblazers.
Chloe Gruwell had eight kills, eight digs and four aces, and Eadara Files supplied 24 assists and four aces for Shadow Ridge, which got seven aces from Easton Clements.
Neymara Camden led Durango with four kills and two blocks. Danielle Smith had three kills and five digs, and Sabrina Close added 10 assists for the Trailblazers.
Palo Verde 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Gorman, Kendall Cheval had 23 kills and 20 digs to lead the Panthers by the Gaels, 25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23.
Makenzie Paulk had 40 assists and 14 digs, and Faryn Duncan added 38 digs and four aces for Palo Verde.
Vashti Cunningham had 20 kills and three aces, and Victoria Ewalefo added 12 kills for Gorman. Alexis Bradford dished out 27 assists, and Sydney Labato had 12 assists for the Gaels, who got eight kills from Abby Archambault.
Basic 3, Green Valley 1 — At Green Valley, Azure Werner had 12 kills, 11 digs, 11 assists and three blocks to lead the Wolves to a 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19 win over the Gators.
Kim Austin had 11 kills, 12 assists and two blocks, and Kali Weires added eight kills, nine digs and three blocks for Basic.
Green Valley’s Rachel Klopfer recorded nine kills, 11 digs and four aces, and teammate Carlee Becker added 19 assists and 10 digs.
Boulder City 3, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Maggie Roe had 11 kills and two blocks to lead the Eagles to a 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 25-14 victory over the Cowboys.
Tara Cox added 20 assists and three aces, and Alyssa Ybarra had 25 digs and four aces for Boulder City.
Monique Long led Chaparral with four kills, three aces and eight digs. Abigail Delgado added three kills and two aces for the Cowboys.
Tech 3, Del Sol 1 — At Tech, Kathy Hernandez had 16 kills, five aces, three blocks and three digs to help the Roadrunners to a 25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 25-18 win over the Dragons.
Clarissa Szluha added 18 assists, three kills, four aces and seven digs, and Madison White had five kills and three aces for Tech, which got 10 digs and three aces from Jasmine Ramos.
Christina Lancaster had seven kills and five aces, and Christy Patinio had 19 digs for Del Sol.
Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Rancho, Karime Raygoza had seven kills, seven digs and two aces to lead the Rams to a sweep of the Sundevils, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19.
Kayla Coles recorded six kills, six blocks and six digs, and Danielle Carino had nine digs, five kills and two aces for Rancho, which got 10 assists and two aces from Serenity Sivongsa.
Tori Stark led Eldorado with seven kills and four blocks. Abigail Olsen added 13 assists and four aces, and Kiana Parkes had 11 digs for the Sundevils.
Virgin Valley 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Bernice Fiso had 11 kills and five aces to lead the Bulldogs past the Jaguars, 25-8, 25-12, 25-11.
Janella Fiso had seven aces and 25 assists, and Kaydee Bingham had four kills and five aces for Virgin Valley, which got seven kills from Emma Barnum.
Paola Espino had six kills for Desert Pines.
Moapa Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Overton, Eden Whitmore had nine kills, and Cheyenne Leavitt added eight kills to lead the Pirates past the Miners, 25-13, 25-8, 25-20.
Marissa Perez had seven aces and 11 digs, and Tahnee German added four kills, two aces and seven digs for Moapa Valley.
Sunrise Mountain’s Whykella Haley had four kills, and teammate Ayla Diaz added two kills and four digs.
Adelson School 3, Quest Academy 0 — At Adelson School, Samantha Spooner had 13 aces to lead the Lions to a 25-6, 25-21, 25-23 sweep of the Knights.
Mackenzie Lally recorded eight kills and four digs, and Camryn Armstrong added three kills and three aces for Adelson School, which also got three aces and 12 assists from Tamar Tecktiel.
Liberty Baptist 2, Indian Springs JV 0 — At Indian Springs, the Eagles were 25-17, 25-16 winners over Indian Springs’ junior varsity.
