VOLLEYBALL: Cowboys rally to down Dragons

Moriah Allen recorded seven kills and three aces, and Monique Long had four kills, seven aces and 18 digs Wednesday to help Chaparral’s girls volleyball team rally for a 27-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 win over host Del Sol.

Jessica Joiner added three kills and one ace, and Kayla Enderle notched 12 assists and two aces for the Cowboys.

Del Sol’s Diana Hilton had seven kills and two aces, and teammate Jennifer Socorro contributed four kills, three aces and 14 digs.

Christy Patinio had three kills and 38 digs, and Christina Lancaster notched 11 assists, two aces and 13 digs for the Dragons.

Virgin Valley 3, Moapa Valley 2 — At Overton, Bernice Fiso had eight kills, nine digs and six aces, and Emma Barnum added six kills and 10 digs as the Bulldogs rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat the Pirates, 18-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-18, 15-12.

Janella Fiso had 21 assists and three aces, and Kaydee Bingham notched four kills for Virgin Valley. Teammate Camri Ludvigson had 11 digs for the Bulldogs.

Shelbi Walker had 10 kills and three aces for Moapa Valley, and teammate Summer Evans finished with nine kills and 16 digs. Eden Whitmore led the Pirates with 20 blocks.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Vanessa Amaya had 14 assists and 10 aces to lead the Miners to a 25-11, 25-17, 25-19 win over the Jaguars.

Legacy Lane added six aces, and Ayla Diaz supplied four kills and three aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Rocio Sanchez and Brianna Fitzgerald each tallied five kills for Desert Pines.

Boulder City 3, Tech 0 — At Boulder City, Alyssa Ybarra had 22 digs and two aces, and Jaden Wood tallied seven kills, eight digs and two aces as the Eagles swept the Roadrunners, 25-16, 25-12, 25-15.

Kinsey Smyth had six kills and three blocks, and Maggie Roe added five kills for Boulder City.

Rancho 3, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Kayla Coles had 14 kills, six blocks and 16 digs, and Danielle Carino added 17 kills and 21 digs to help the Rams outlast the Gators, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 15-8.

Karime Raygoza notched 12 kills and 15 digs for Rancho, and teammate Serenity Sivongsa had two kills, 45 assists and 15 digs.

Green Valley’s Rachel Klopfer had 17 kills, one ace and eight digs, and teammate Maya Hill recorded seven kills and a block. Carlee Becker also dished out 38 assists for the Gators.

Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Foothill, Rebecca Hill had 13 kills and 15 digs, and Christina Beaver supplied 30 assists to lead the Falcons to a 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 sweep of the Wolves.

Olivia Stet provided eight kills and 16 digs, and Renee Ritchie added 17 digs for Foothill.

Kim Austin had nine kills and 22 digs to lead Basic. Azure Werner tallied five kills, seven assists and eight digs, and teammate Autumn Philipczyk added six kills for the Wolves.

Coronado 3, Eldorado 0 — At Coronado, Emily Bender had four kills and two aces, and Nikki Jackson added three kills and five aces as the Cougars swept the Sundevils, 25-5, 25-9, 25-15.

Olivia Keller finished with three kills, three blocks and two aces for Coronado. Cali Thompson led the Cougars with 16 assists, and teammate Berkeley Oblad notched three kills.

Tori Stark paced Eldorado with five kills and four blocks. Abigail Olsen had eight assists and five digs, while Anya Olsen had eight digs for the Sundevils.

Palo Verde 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Kendall Cheval had 15 kills, and Makenzie Paulk recorded 30 assists and nine digs as the Panthers cruised past the Wildcats, 25-11, 25-19, 25-12.

Faryn Duncan added 13 digs and five aces for Palo Verde.

Tajanae Davis had six kills and four blocks, Samantha Remer tallied 11 digs and Rachel Reimschussel added four kills and two blocks for Las Vegas.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Chloe Gruwell tallied 13 kills and 15 digs, and Eadara Files dished out 29 assists to propel the Mustangs to a 25-17, 25-8, 25-16 sweep of the Longhorns.

Ashley Smith provided seven kills, nine digs and six aces for Shadow Ridge.

Ashly Goor notched five kills and four digs to lead Legacy.

Bishop Gorman 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Makenzi Abelman dished out 17 assists, and Victoria Ewalefo put down nine kills to guide the Gaels to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-12 sweep of the Trailblazers.

Michelle Kim added five kills, and teammate Alexis Bradford had eight digs for Gorman.

Cayla Cooper led Durango with 15 digs and three aces.

Faith Lutheran 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Crusaders swept the Rattlers, 25-10, 25-13, 25-12.

Shyanne Orton had six kills and three blocks for Mojave.
