VOLLEYBALL: Gators hold off Skyhawks

Shanna Olsen had 19 kills, three aces and four digs, and Alley Seidler dished out 38 assists Wednesday to help Green Valley’s girls volleyball team to a 25-15, 21-25, 25-5, 25-18 victory over visiting Silverado.

Nikki Drost added 18 kills and nine digs for the Gators.

Melanie Srok had seven kills and four blocks, and Amari Norris added seven kills and three blocks for the Skyhawks, who also got 18 assists from Morgan Little and 17 digs from Quinntana Reid.

Clark 3, Mojave 2 — At Clark, Niki Wu distributed 41 assists as the Chargers outlasted the Rattlers, 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 19-17.

Emi Atanoa had 19 kills, and June Roberts added 12 kills for Clark.

Leilani Limtiaco put down 15 kills, and Rayena Rael had 26 assists for Mojave.

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Gorman, Shelly Laman notched eight aces and four digs, and teammate Gianna Ruggeroli recorded 10 kills and three aces as the Gaels downed the Diamondbacks, 25-8, 25-14, 25-8.

Francesca Manz and Leah Lychock both had seven kills, and Lychock served three aces for Gorman. Teammate Emma Kirst added six kills.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Cayla Nikodemus had eight kills and eight assists to help the Crusaders top the Desert Shields, 25-7, 25-10, 25-8.

Megan Kronschnabel had 11 assists and five aces, and Megan Panikkar finished with 13 assists for Faith Lutheran, which got five aces from Courtney Hansen.

Centennial 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Kristi Farley dished out 25 assists, and Cristina Owens put down nine kills to help the Bulldogs to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-13 victory over the Longhorns.

Taylor Hartle supplied eight kills, and Madison Harper added 14 digs for Centennial.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Matti Ventling supplied 16 assists and seven kills to lead the Wildcats to a 25-13, 25-8, 25-15 sweep of the Pioneers.

Cierra Turner had eight digs, and Haley Lockley contributed four aces for Las Vegas, which also got five kills and two blocks from Rachel Reimschussel.

Bonanza 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Bonanza, Hailey Huntsman had three kills and 12 assists as the Bengals routed the Spartans, 25-1, 25-3, 25-5.

Sophie Cram had nine kills, and Ellyn Hirabayashi served seven aces for Bonanza.

Zaquae Downton had two kills and two digs for Cimarron.

Pahrump Valley 3, Western 1 — At Western, the Trojans collected a 25-11, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23 win over the Warriors.

Destiny Gonzalez had 10 kills, 14 blocks and five digs, and Paea Sovou supplied six assists, four aces, three blocks and seven digs for Western.
