VOLLEYBALL: Harding helps Lynx sweep Cougars

Chesnee Harding had 12 assists and five aces in the opener, and 11 assists, four aces and two digs in the nightcap on Friday as Lincoln County’s volleyball team swept host Laughlin, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-17, 25-12.

In the first match, Kayla Matthews had six kills and five aces, and Cameron Lloyd added four kills, two aces and six digs for the Lynx.

In the finale, Matthews had five kills, and Jillyn Katschke and Bridon Lewis each had four kills for the Lynx, who got three aces from Abby Schembeck.

White Pine 2-2, Calvary Chapel 0-0 — At Ely, the Bobcats swept the Lions, 25-17, 25-19 and 26-24, 27-25.

Davilyn Yates had three kills, and Sara Hernandez added four aces for Calvary Chapel in the opening match.

In the nightcap, Marissa Tiemann had four kills, and Alexis Davis had eight digs for the Lions.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Indian Springs, the Panthers were 25-12, 30-28, 25-9 winners over the Thunderbirds.

Sandy Valley 3, Beaver Dam 1 — At Sandy Valley, Jacinda Fansher had nine kills and six assists as the Sidewinders rallied for a 16-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-15 win over the Diamondbacks.

Emily Valko had six kills, five aces and three aces, and Esmerelda Solano-Sanchez had three kills and seven aces for Sandy Valley, which got five kills and eight aces from Madeline Wadley.
