VOLLEYBALL: Harding leads Lynx to sweep of Needles

Chesnee Harding had 12 kills and five aces in the opener and 11 assists, five aces and two digs in the nightcap Friday as Lincoln County’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Needles, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-18, 25-17.
In the first match, Kayla Mathews had five kills and two aces, and Bridon Lewis added four kills for Lincoln County, which got three kills from Hannah Hafen.
In the finale, Mathews had eight kills, and Lewis added six kills for the Lynx, who got five assists from Easton Tingey.
Calvary Chapel 2-0, The Meadows 1-2 — At The Meadows, the Lions and Mustangs split a doubleheader.
Calvary Chapel won the opener 25-17, 21-25, 15-13. The Meadows took the nightcap 25-19, 25-21.
In the first match, Alexis Harris had 13 kills and 17 digs, and Kayla Johnson dished out 11 assists for Calvary Chapel, which got four blocks and three kills from Marissa Tiemann.
Noelle Miller had five kills, and Mariah Martin added seven assists for the Lions in the finale.
Brooke Brennan paced The Meadows in the first match with 12 kills and 10 digs. Dani Otter added 12 kills, and Missy Siegel had 12 digs and two aces for the Mustangs.
In the nightcap, Otter had 12 kills and three blocks, and Siegel added 22 assists and 10 digs for The Meadows. Brennan had seven kills and 12 digs, and teammate Kaitlyn Abdo added eight digs.
Sandy Valley 3, Lund 1 — At Lund, the Sidewinders were 22-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-18 winners over the Mustangs.
