VOLLEYBALL: Longhorns outlast Rams

Myah Maxwell had 20 kills and 11 digs, and Saipeti Fuiava added 19 kills and 14 digs to lead Legacy's girls volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9 victory over host Rancho on Monday.

Mia Suzuki added 46 digs for the Longhorns, and teammate Kamaile Mendonsa had four kills, 49 assists and 13 digs.

Karime Raygoza led the Rams with 17 kills and 18 digs. Kayla Coles added nine kills, three blocks and 14 digs for Rancho, and Maureen Macato and Samantha Pochop each had seven kills for the Rams.

Macato also had 18 digs.

Eldorado 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Abigail Olsen had 45 assists and 15 aces to help the Sundevils to a 25-27, 25-17, 25-14, 25-12 win over the Spartans.

Anya Olsen added 11 kills, and Kiana Parkes had seven digs for Eldorado.

Logan DeLong had seven kills and 10 assists, and Addison Dolan added seven kills for Cimarron.

Basic 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Basic, Kiara Richardson had 12 kills and four blocks to lead the Wolves past the Wildcats, 25-21, 27-25, 25-18.

Serenity Lomprey added eight kills, six digs and two blocks for Basic.

Tajanae Davis had eight kills, two aces, 14 digs and nine blocks to lead Las Vegas, and Lexia Brockett added 18 assists and six digs for the Wildcats.

Green Valley 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Rachel Klopfer had 11 kills, 11 digs and four aces to lead the Gators past the Panthers, 25-18, 25-23, 25-6.

Carlee Becker recorded 19 assists, three blocks and two aces, and Maya Hill added four kills and three blocks for Green Valley.

Virginia Rallo led Palo Verde with 15 digs. Mia Sadler had 11 assists for the Panthers, and teammate Jaylin Ellis notched six kills.

Desert Oasis 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Laityn Sarna had 25 assists, seven aces and three digs to lead the Diamondbacks to a 25-13, 24-26, 25-12, 25-11 victory over the Desert Shields.

Kira Beckerle added eight kills, six aces and six digs for Desert Oasis, and teammate Madison Norr had seven kills, six digs and three aces.

Cheyenne's Karina Toro had three aces and seven digs, and Brooklyn Denman recorded five kills for the Desert Shields.

Bonanza 3, Valley 0 — At Bonanza, Jaycie Johnson served eight aces to lead the Bengals to victory over the Vikings, 25-4, 25-14, 25-18.

Hayley Hunstman added six aces, and Sydney Dunn put down five kills for Bonanza.

Hannah Ariesen recorded nine assists for Valley, which got seven aces from Rebecca Barnowsky.

Tech 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Katherine Hernandez had 12 kills and two aces to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-15, 25-19, 25-12 sweep of the Miners.

Mariah Moses had nine kills, Samantha Backman had five assists and four aces, and Jasmine Ramos had four aces and seven digs for Tech.

Elizabeth Ortega added 13 assists for the Roadrunners.

Andrea Garner had eight kills to lead Sunrise Mountain.

Destiny Hodges had four kills and two blocks, and teammate Legacee Lane had three kills and two blocks for the Miners.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Durango, Lindsey Horne had nine kills and 24 assists to help the Trailblazers to a 25-13, 25-22, 26-24 win over the Grizzlies.

Cayla Cooper had seven aces and 20 digs, and Adrianna Willeford added four aces for Durango.

Moapa Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Overton, Shelbi Walker had five kills and eight aces to lead the Pirates to a sweep over the Dragons, 25, 14, 25-13, 25-17.

Eden Whitmore had six kills, and Aria Messer had 21 assists for Moapa Valley.

Ayleen Jiminez had four kills and three aces to lead Del Sol.

Jenifer Socorro had three kills, five assists, three aces and three digs, and teammate Christy Patinio had two aces and six digs for the Dragons.

Virgin Valley 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Janella Fiso had 21 assists and three aces to lead the Bulldogs over the Cowboys, 25-9, 25-18, 25-10.

Bernice Fiso added seven kills for Virgin Valley, which also received six kills from Briana Todd and four kills from Kaydee Bingham.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Foothill, Kiley McCall had 25 assists, nine digs and two aces to lead the Falcons to a 25-15, 25-17, 25-16 sweep of the Patriots.

Tessa Michalosky had 11 kills, five aces and four blocks, and Alyssa McCoy added six kills and four blocks for Foothill, which got 10 digs from Dana Bower.

Boulder City 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Eagles were 25-6, 25-11, 25-13 winners over the Jaguars.

Indian Springs 3, Somerset Academy 0 — At Indian Springs, the Thunderbirds downed the Eagles, 25-20, 25-9, 25-23.

Calvary Chapel JV 3, Adelson School 2 — At Adelson, Calvary Chapel's junior varsity topped Adelson, 25-19,22-25, 25-23, 18-25, 15-2.

Adelson's Shoshana Wexler had five kills, and teammate Samantha Spooner had 12 assists.
