VOLLEYBALL: Ventling, Wildcats sweep Rams

Matti Ventling had 25 assists, six digs, four blocks and two aces Thursday to help Las Vegas High’s girls volleyball team sweep visiting Rancho, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24.

Yaneli Zarate had 11 kills, 11 digs and two aces, and Shaleea Butler added seven kills and 12 digs for the Wildcats, who got 20 digs from Cierra Turner.

Karime Raygoza had 11 kills, and Dani Carino added six kills and 14 digs for the Rams. Sharisse Nagatori supplied 12 assists and five digs for Rancho.

Eldorado 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Dakota Coombs had 22 assists to help the Sundevils to a 25-13, 25-16, 24-26, 25-23 win over the Jaguars.

Angela Stonebeck had 12 kills, and Tori Stark added five kills for Eldorado.

Melissa Benford led Desert Pines with five kills.

Silverado 3, Valley 1 — At Valley, Shyanne Borchers distributed 39 assists, and Melanie Srok and Amari Norris each had 14 kills to help the Skyhawks to a 25-10, 26-28, 25-12, 27-25 victory over the Vikings.

Norris also had five blocks, and Morgan Little served six aces for Silverado, which got five aces from Lauren Purdy and six digs from Quinntana Reid.

Gabby Cabanero had 11 kills, and Chantelle Rigby added seven kills for Valley, which got 25 assists from Taylor Sandhu.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Centennial, Kristi Farley had three kills, seven aces and 23 assists to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-9, 25-13, 25-3 rout of the Spartans.

Deven Vieira added three kills and two blocks, and Bailey Anderson recorded four kills and four aces to help the Bulldogs.

Cimarron’s Iman McIver had two kills and nine digs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Western 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Megan Kronschnabel had 17 assists, and Courtney Hansen supplied eight kills and seven aces to help lead the Crusaders to a 25-8, 25-5, 25-13 sweep over the Warriors.

Cayla Nikodemus had eight kills, and Morgan Hill added six kills for Faith Lutheran, which got six aces from Megan Panikkar.

Paea Sovou had five assists, and Destiny Gonzalez contributed three digs for Western.

Coronado 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Berkeley Oblad had 13 kills and five digs to help the Cougars top the Wolves, 25-11, 25-22, 25-11.

Taylor Jackson added 10 kills and five digs, and Cali Thompson had 38 assists, five aces and six digs for Coronado.

Christina Kelley led Basic with four kills, 15 aces and two blocks, and teammate Kali Weires had five kills and two blocks.

Green Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Green Valley, Bridgette Dwyer posted 16 kills and two blocks to lead the Gators past the Pioneers, 25-5, 25-14, 25-15.

Carlee Becker had eight assists, and Amanda Lake served four aces for Green Valley.

Sydney Morris had seven kills, and Tea Rivera added eight assists for Canyon Springs, which got four digs from Karina Cavada.

Bishop Gorman 3, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Danni Redding had six kills, five blocks and two aces to lead the Gaels over the Longhorns, 25-12, 25-17, 25-10.

Victoria Harris had seven kills, and Francesca Manz added five kills for Gorman, which got 18 assists from Makena Sherwood.

Saipeti Fuiava had five kills and two aces, and Ashly Goor added six kills for Legacy.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Bonanza, Sophie Cram had eight kills and four aces to lead the Bengals to a 25-20, 25-9, 25-21 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Hailey Huntsman had 22 assists and three aces, and Sammie Spelman added seven kills and three aces for Bonanza, which got 18 digs from Ellyn Hirabayashi.

Lauren Rios recorded four kills and five digs, and Taylor Brock served three aces for Desert Oasis.

Durango 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Trea Ortega had 10 kills and seven aces to lead the Trailblazers over the Dragons, 25-20, 25-11, 25-19.

Precious Williams added 13 kills and four digs, and Carly Taylor dished out 21 assists for Durango. Kat Jaksic had two kills and three blocks for the Trailblazers.

Pahrump Valley 3, Mojave 0 — At Pahrump, Payton Hart had seven kills in the Trojans’ 25-16, 25-22, 25-15 win over the Rattlers.

Jillian Smith added eight assists and three kills, and Bryana Soliwoda had six assists for Pahrump.

Leilani Limtiaco had seven kills, and Rayena Rael had six kills and three aces for Mojave.

Cheyenne 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Alyceion McDowell had seven kills and three aces, and Ebony Cvaco had 22 assists the Desert Shields swept the Chargers, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23.

Bria Buchanan added eight kills and three blocks for Cheyenne.

Clark's Emi Atanoa put down 15 kills, and Victoria Gordon added six kills for the Chargers.

The Meadows 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At The Meadows, Lena Schulhofer had a total of 42 assists and 13 digs to lead the Mustangs to two wins over the Saints.

Dani Otter had seven Kills, 16 digs and three blocks in the opener as The Meadows won 25-15, 25-19.

Brooke Brennan added eight kills and eight digs in the nightcap as the Mustangs swept 25-15, 25-11.

Missy Siegel added six kills in each match for The Meadows.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Panthers swept the Miners, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

Evelyn Lopez had 16 assists, and Lisa Carter supplied nine digs for Sunrise Mountain which got five kills from Deanna Manning.
