Lightweights pace Grizzlies to Charger Duals title

Spring Valley won the four lightest weight classes Saturday on its way to a 42-30 victory over Shadow Ridge in the championship match of the Charger Duals at Clark.
Kevin Wang won by pin at 112 pounds, Nick Hess (103) and Trever Siedlecki (119) each won by decision, and Teven Mayo picked up a forfeit win at 125 for the Grizzlies, who finished 8-0 in the tournament.
Ray Waters (160) and Rashad Waters (171) also recorded first-period pins, and Dan Van Tassel (135) won by decision. Rasheem Waters (152) picked up a win by forfeit for the Grizzlies.
Shadow Ridge got pins from Juan Andasol (140) and Branden Fisher (189).
The Grizzlies advanced to the final with a 45-30 win over Green Valley.
Hess, Siedlecki, Jordan Conner (130), Rasheem Waters, Ray Waters, Rashad Waters and Churchill Rochester (189) all registered pins for Spring Valley.
