GATORS WIN WRESTLING TITLE — Green Valley used an unlikely comeback to capture the A Division championship at the Clark Duals last weekend.

With six matches left, Green Valley trailed Spring Valley 39-6, meaning the Gators needed to win all of the remaining matches by pin to win.

Green Valley did that, with Mason Saldana (119), Cameron Imahara (125), Tony Simpson (130), Steven Berta (135), Daniel Allen (140) and Chris Felman (145) posting pins for a 42-39 Gators win.

Green Valley finished 7-1 in the tournament, with the loss a 39-36 decision to Spring Valley in pool competition.

Berta, Felman and 103-pounder Cory Brather each went 8-0 in the tournament.
