Roundup: Arbor View edges Centennial

Arbor View’s wrestling team won the final three matches on Thursday night to pull out a 46-36 home victory over Centennial.

Centennial led 36-30 after Tyler Roper’s pin at 182 pounds.

The Aggies then got pins from Torian Ross (195) and Tai Tuinei (220) and a major decision from Matt Smith (285) to close out the win.

Tristan Gallagher (120), Abraham Medina (126), Nathan Egbalic (145) and Coby Tucker (152) also won by fall for Arbor View.

Daisha Pascual (113), Mac Tyra (132), Nico Antuna (138), Ike Edwards (160) and Richard Kilgore (170) had pins for the Bulldogs.

Las Vegas 57, Rancho 24 — At Las Vegas, Mauricio Jimenez won by pin in 56 seconds at 220 pounds to help the Wildcats to the win over the Rams.

Trace Everett (120), Daniel Law (138), Caleb Roach (152) and Edward Bravo (182) also won by fall for Las Vegas.

Rancho’s Humberto Duarte (106) and Adrian Brown (285) each won by fall in less than a minute. Duarte’s match lated just 25 seconds.

Juan Vargas (113) and Yonardo Torres (145) each added a pin for the Rams.

Cimarron-Memorial 84, Legacy 0 — At Cimarron, the Spartans won 10 matches by forfeit and shut out the Longhorns.

Bryab Zambrano (138), Tyrese Miller (170), Carlos Hernandez (195) and Michael Overland (285) each won by fall for Cimarron.

Overland’s match lasted just seven seconds.

Green Valley 58, Basic 12 — At Basic, the Gators recorded four first-period pins in their victory over the Wolves.

Abigail Halstead (106), Will Zernich (120), Jeremy Hoffman (138) and Desmond Bowers (160) each recorded a fall in the first period. Justus Scott (152) and Karter Kares (170) also won by pin for Green Valley.

Spring Valley 69, Bonanza 12 — At Spring Valley, the Grizzlies recorded five first-period pins and topped the Bengals.

Michael Canada (126), Gerardo Mendoza (152), Samuel Katzenberger (160), Alex Ionescu (170) and Jeremy Pakulak (182) had first-period pins for Spring Valley.

Bryan Lovett (113), Eutiquio Gomez (120) and Andres Garcia (132) also won by fall for the Grizzlies.

Brendan Rehmel-Quinones (220) had a pin for Bonanza.
