ROUNDUP: Arbor View trio leads Aggies to tri-meet win

Ruben Rodriguez, Vincent Russo and Brandon Cunningham each won two matches Tuesday to lead  Arbor View’s wrestling team to victories over Cheyenne and Cimarron-Memorial.

Arbor View defeated the Desert Shields 72-9 and host Cimarron 50-16.

Rodriguez collected a pin in 3 minutes, 29 seconds at 125 pounds against Cheyenne, then earned a 13-1 major decision against Cimarron. Russo (152) won by pin in 1:42 against Cheyenne and won by a 16-1 technical fall against Cimarron. Cunningham (160) won with a 9-5 decision against Cheyenne and a 2-1 overtime decision against Cimarron.

Cimarron, which defeated Cheyenne 51-23, got two pins each from Bronson Ashjian (112) and heavyweight Austin Sinyard.
