Roundup: Cimarron dominates at Bonanza meet

Cimarron-Memorial’s wrestling team pitched a shutout Saturday against Canyon Springs, collecting pinfall victories from seven Spartans in the 78-0 victory at Bonanza.

Michael Robles won by fall at 113 pounds for the Spartans, as did Justin Reider (132 pounds), Daniel Kennedy (138), Amado Castellon (145), Devin Garcia (160), Carlos Hernandez (182) and Michael Overland (285).

Cimarron-Memorial 75, Bonanza 6 — At Bonanza, six Spartans won by fall in their victory over the Bengals.

Cimarron received pins from Alex Chevarria (120), Robles (113), Rider (132), Kennedy (138), Castellon (145) and Hernandez (182).

Bonanza received its points via forfeit.

Cimarron-Memorial 72, Desert Oasis 6 — At Bonanza, Miguel Reyes-Geronimo won by fall at 106 pounds in the Spartans’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Kennedy (138) and Overland (285) also won by fall for the Spartans.

Josh Corona won by fall at 132 pounds for the Diamondbacks.
