ROUNDUP: Contorelli’s pin propels Silverado past Canyon Springs

Silverado’s Ryan Contorelli won by pin in just 34 seconds at 195 pounds to lead the Skyhawks to a 42-39 road win over Canyon Springs on Tuesday.

Jared Thompson (160), Michael Bowman (132), and Chansen Bonifacio (126) also recorded pins for Silverado.

Johnathan Barajas (145), Roosevelt Smith (152), Andres Serrano (182), and Fabian Leos (220) had pins for the Pioneers.

Serrano’s fall came in just 22 seconds.

Green Valley 49, Rancho 24 — At Rancho, the Gators won four matches by fall en route to the win over the Rams.

Alex Watson (126), Spencer Watson (132), Jeremiah Brewer (152) and Jacob Etchings (220) won by pin for the Gators.

Alex Watson and Etchings both earned first-period pins.

Freddy Garcia (145), Brandon Flores (182) and Luni Tolai (285) won by pin for Rancho.

Arbor View 63, Palo Verde 15 — At Arbor View, the Aggies won four matches by pin to beat the Panthers.

Sergei Ireland (106), Wes Hamilton (126), Jared Adams (132) and Julian Edwards (170) all recorded pins.

Kayden Pearson of Palo Verde won by pin at 160.

Shadow Ridge 36, Spring Valley 28 — At Shadow Ridge, Brayden Triliegi (160), Evin Cruz (182) and Xavier Flores (195) won by pin to lead the Mustangs over the Grizzlies.

Richard Tapia (120), David Tetzlaff (170) and Silvano Villanueva (285) had pins for Spring Valley.

Foothill 55, Del Sol 18 —
At Foothill, Gabriel Vasquez needed just 50 seconds to pin his opponent at 145, and the Falcons took advantage of five forfeits to down the Dragons.

Damian Ortega (106) and Joe Reid (285) also won by fall for Foothill.

Jason Xiang won by pin at 120 for Del Sol.

Sierra Vista 45, Durango 36 — At Durango, Jarrick Soria won by pin in 1:26 at 132 pounds to power the Mountain Lions over the Trailblazers.

Zach Dioness (120), Andrew Dunn (152), Jordan Leavitt (160), James Dunn (195) and Craig Freeman (220) also recorded pins for Sierra Vista.

Jacob Asuncion (106), Daniel Caswell (113), Artie Gallegos (138) and Austin Rennie (182) won by fall for Durango.

Liberty 43, Coronado 24 —
At Liberty, Jaylon Bates (113), Michael Sanchez (120) and Colin Schultz (152) each recorded a first-period pin to lead the Patriots over the Cougars.

Bates led the way, wining in just 28 seconds. Tevin Ricci (132) also won by fall for Liberty.

Coronado’s Joseph Gardner pinned his opponent in 28 seconds at 170.
