ROUNDUP: Gael wrestlers rout Warriors

Bishop Gorman’s wrestling team won seven matches by pin Wednesday on the way to a 65-6 rout at Western.
Jake Wasserkrug (112 pounds), Marty Mazzara (119), Christian Campbell (125), Steven Hernandez (160), Jimmy Clark (171), Johnny Field (189) and heavyweight Bradley Halmfield each won by pin for the Gaels.
Field picked up the fastest pin of the night, winning in 59 seconds.

Crusaders can’t overcome forfeits, fall to Longhorns
At Faith Lutheran, Legacy rode seven wins by forfeit to a 48-33 victory over the host Crusaders.

Faith Lutheran won all five contested matches, including four pins. Pierce Holtfreter (125), Casey Kolnes (130), Mike Matthis (145) and Damon Kecman (171) racked up pins for the Crusaders.

Patriots rout Cougars
At Coronado, Liberty rolled to a 56-18 win over Coronado behind pins from Ian Wilson (135), Michael Reveles (140), Anthony Terrell (152) and Teddy Efthemeou (215).

David Mosse (130) and Gregory Odell (189) posted a pin each for Coronado.

Eagles top Sundevils
At Boulder City, the Eagles won three matches by pin on the way to a 34-20 home victory over Eldorado.

Boulder City’s Clinton Garvin (103) won by pin in 1:02, while teammates Steven Kaposta (160) and Bleu Huxford (215) claimed pins in 43 seconds and 46 seconds, respectively.

At Desert Pines, the Jaguars won seven matches by forfeit to defeat Sunrise Mountain, 69-9.
