ROUNDUP: Gators rout Patriots to clinch Southeast title

Sean Cannon (106 pounds), Jared Brathor (113), Ryder Newman (160) and James Byrne (180) each earned a pin in the first period to help Green Valley’s wrestling team wrap up a Southeast League title with a 63-2 rout of visiting Liberty.

Josh Temple (120), Donovan Peek (152) and Tanner Gross (220) added a pin apiece for the Gators, who won all but won match.

Ian Wilson earned a 7-3 win at 145 for Liberty.

Desert Oasis 42, Clark 19 — At Desert Oasis, Chad VanKuren (120), Mario Fitzpatrick (138) and Juan Keller (195) recorded pins to lead the Diamondbacks past the Chargers.

Clark’s Edwin Conteno had a fall at 220.

Durango 38, Sierra Vista 28 — At Sierra Vista, Frank Mendez (182) pinned his opponent in 1:40 to lead the Trailblazers past the Mountain Lions.

Daniel Caswell (106), Eduardo Penha (120), and Anthony Garcia (152) also notched a pin each for Durango.

Cimarron-Memorial 69, Cheyenne 9 — At Cheyenne, the Spartans took down the Desert Shields.

Bronson Ashjian won by pin in 49 seconds at 138 to lead Cimarron, which won six matches by fall and five by forfeit.

Rancho 49, Sunrise Mountain 30 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Rams won five matches by pin to top the Miners.

Artemio Zepeda (126), Freddy Garcia (145), Brandon Flores (160), James Horton (170) and Edgar Ruiz (195) won by fall for Rancho.

Flores and Horton each pinned in 52 seconds.

Pahrump Valley 52, Western 16 — At Pahrump, Levi Gundacker (106), Sergio Rodriguez (120), Juan Martinz (138), Levi Lawson (160) and Jace Clayton (182) posted pins to lead the Trojans past the Warriors.

Moapa Valley 39, Coronado 30 — At Overton, Austin Leavitt (106), Justin Boren (160), Parker Chappell (182) and Colton Millington (195) each won a match by pin to help the Pirates down the Cougars.

Chappell earned his pin in 1:32 for Moapa Valley, which also benefited from wins by Zak Baldwin (113), Brayden Evans (126), Jake Repp (132) and Kalvin O’Toole (285).

Jesse Clarich (145) and Mack Murphy (220) each won by fall for Coronado.

Eldorado 51, Virgin Valley 28 — At Eldorado, Dominick Smith (170) won by pin in 31 seconds as the Sundevils routed the Bulldogs.

Arram Price (145) and heavyweight Mike Williams also won by pin for Eldorado.

Arbor View 34, Palo Verde 33 — At Palo Verde, heavyweight Sterlin Smokey won by pin in the final match to give the Aggies the win over the Panthers.

Canyon Springs 35, Las Vegas 28 — At Las Vegas, the Pioneers won six contested matches to clinch the Northeast League title.
