ROUNDUP: Gomez helps Wolves down Miners

Basic won five matches by fall Wednesday en route to a 48-33 victory over visiting Sunrise Mountain.

All five pins came in the second period.

Nick Gomez (113 pounds), Nick Thompson (120), R.C. Stamey (126), Bryce Sepe (138) and Caleb Contreras (170) each posted a pin for the Wolves.

Boulder City 51, Desert Pines 30 — At Desert Pines, the Eagles used six pins to roll past the Jaguars.

Boulder City’s Patrick Garvin (126), Thomas Prach (145), Tyler Washburn (152), Jonathan Osborne (182) and Brandon Foster (220) won by pin for the Eagles.

Boulder City 42, Sierra Vista 32 — At Desert Pines, the Eagles won five matches by pin to down the Mountain Lions.

Desert Pines 43, Sierra Vista 36 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars won four matches by pin in holding off the Mountain Lions.
