ROUNDUP: Gonzalez makes quick work of opponent, leads Cowboys to win

Mario Gonzalez needed only 10 seconds to record a pin at 138 pounds on Wednesday as Chaparral’s wrestling team posted a 63-17 win over visiting Sunrise Mountain.

Miguel Guerra (120), Andrew Freeman (132), Sheldon Phoenix (145), Freddie Briones (152) and Gilbert Trinidad (170) also won by pin for the Cowboys.

Pedro Montano (160) won by pin for the Miners.

Boulder City 54, Desert Pines 24 — At Boulder City, the Eagles won eight matches by pin as they defeated the Jaguars, led by Jeremiah Rodriguez (138) winning in 1:15.

R.J. Mortensen (106), Clinton Garvin (120), Patrick Garvin (132), Thoams Prach (145), Dylon Dennington (152), Nelson Van Diest (170) and Brandon Foster (195) also won by pin for Boulder City.

Ramon Verduzco (126), Arden Heki (160), Allan Isaguirre (182) and Michael Cisneros (285) won by fall for Boulder City.

Legacy 36, Desert Oasis 35 — At Desert Oasis, Dion Jones (120), Anthony Rheamount (126), Brandon Sorenson (170) and Josh Phillips (195) won by pin to lead the Longhorns over the Diamondbacks.

Marcos Fitzpatrick (138), Nepaul Cavazos (145) and Johnmark Reddick (160) recorded pins for Desert Oasis.

Pahrump Valley 57, Faith Lutheran 13 — At Faith Lutheran, the Trojans won seven matches by pin in dominating the Crusaders.

Pahrump’s Sam Gomez (120) and Jace Clayton (220) each recorded a pin in 15 seconds. Levi Gundacker (113), Michael Roushia (152), Scott Maughan (160), John Corrow (182), and Jaxon Clayton (195) had pins for the Trojans.
