ROUNDUP: Kofford’s pin sparks Wolves past Skyhawks

Cameron Kofford’s third-period pin at 160 pounds Wednesday helped Basic’s wrestling team swamp visiting Silverado, 48-25.
Kofford earned a pin in 4 minutes, 20 seconds to start a chain of four-straight wins for the Wolves. Kevin Smith (171) and Reggie Lee (189) followed with a pin apiece, and Ron Pretasky (215) added a 5-3 win.
Andrew Burr (130) won by pin for Silverado.

Boulder City tops Liberty
At Boulder City, Clinton Garvin (103) picked up a pin in 1:30 to pace the host Eagles to a 49-23 win over Liberty.

Brandon Gonzales (112), Rudy Garcia (152), Frank Badgely (171) and Bleu Huxford (215) also won by pin for Boulder City.
Briant Peterson (119), Anthony Kaulili (130) and Ian Wilson (140) each won by fall for the Patriots.

Canyon Springs downs Eldorado
At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers used pins in each of the four heaviest classes to defeat Eldorado, 42-26.

Eric Hernandez led the blitz with a pin at 171 pounds, and Armando Santacruz (189), Fabian Leos (215) and Philip Lewis (285) each followed.
Hugo Hernandez (119) and Jorge Castillo (135) also won by fall for the Pioneers.
 
Legacy defeats Mojave
At Mojave, Luis Conticras-Diaz collected a pin at 215 pounds, and heavyweight Lloyd Waller followed with another pin to lead Legacy to a 66-6 win over the Rattlers.
 
Legacy also benefited from from seven Mojave forfeits.
 
Laughlin tops Wickenburg
At River Valley, Ariz., Corey Beggs won by fall in 59 seconds at 145  pounds to lead Laughlin to a 42-27 victory over Wickenburg (Ariz.).
