ROUNDUP: Spring Valley racks up third undefeated season in Southwest with rout of Sierra Vista

Spring Valley used eight pins Tuesday to clinch a perfect record in the Southwest League with a 60-18 home win over Sierra Vista.
 
It was the Grizzlies’ third undefeated record in league matches in the past four seasons.
 
Jordan Conner (125 pounds), Naweed Najand (130), Rodrigo Santos (140), Ray Waters (145), Rasheem Waters (152), Rashad Waters (160), Erik Lopez (171) and Juan Portillo (189) each won by pin.
 
The Grizzlies also won two matches by forfeit at the smallest weight classes.

Liberty clinches Southeast title with win
At Liberty, the Patriots opened the match with five straight pins en route to a 45-22 win over Foothill.

 
Liberty moved to 5-0 to clinch the league title.
 
Anthony Kaulili (119), Michael Reveles (140), Anthony Terrell (152), Rudy Reveles (160), Lorenzo Hawkins (171), Spencer Hill-Hale (189) and Teddy Efthemeou (215) won by pin for Liberty.
 
Terrell, Rudy Reveles, Hawkins, Hill-Hale and Efthemeou started the match with consecutive pins.

Eldorado tops Valley, Desert Pines
At Eldorado, Andrew Hugbregtse, Matthew Rosado and Fernando Duran-Price each won two matches by pin to lead the Sundevils past Valley and Desert Pines, 50-21 in both meets.

 
Eldorado’s Mike Williams added a pin against Valley.
 
The Vikings downed  the Jaguars, 42-33, in the other dual. Roland Hodge (160) won by pin in 22 seconds.
 
Hodge also registered a 37-second pin against Eldorado.

Desert Oasis downs Durango
At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks collected six forfeits in a 51-15 victory over the Trailblazers.

 
Christopher Paratore (140) had Desert Oasis’ only pin.
 
Durango’s Drew Harbinson won by pin at 125.

Las Vegas edges Bulldogs
At Las Vegas High, the Wildcats recorded pins in the two heaviest weight classes to edge Centennial with a 41-36 victory.

 
Trey McElhaney (215) and Austin Woo (285) each won by first-period pin for Las Vegas.
 
Brady Howell (119), Spencer Worden (145), Anthony Robone (152) and Austin Scarlett (171) each notched a pin for Centennial.

Cimarron tops Cheyenne
At Cheyenne, Cimarron-Memorial won four matches by pin on the way to a 48-28 victory over Cheyenne.

 
Bronson Ashjian (103), Gerald Alcon (112), Martin Bernadino (145) and Aaron Garcia (189) each had pins for the Spartans.

Pioneers rout Rams
At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers collected seven pins on the way to a 51-26 rout of Rancho.

Green Valley routs Coronado
At Green Valley, the Gators won 12 of the 13 contested matches en route to a 62-12 victory over Coronado.
