Two local female wrestlers ranked nationally

Two local wrestlers were ranked in the top 15 in their weight class in the final 2017-18 national girls high school wrestling rankings.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have partnered to create the national rankings to recognize the top high school girl wrestlers in the nation.

Arbor View’s Peyton Prussin was ranked No. 3 at 112 pounds.

Tehani Soares of Shadow Ridge broke into the rankings at No. 15 at 112 pounds. Soares lost in the semifinals at 113 pounds at the Sunset Region tournament last season.

Reed High’s Morgan Norris was the other Nevada wrestler ranked. She was No. 6 at 132.
