Western grabs five flight titles, team championship at Pahranagat Valley Invitational

Western captured five flight titles Friday on its way to the team championship at the Pahranagat Valley Invitational at Alamo.

The Warriors had 217 points. Enterprise (Utah) was second with 175 points, followed by Moapa Valley with 155½ points and Laughlin with 129½.

Western’s flight champions were: Erik Gonzales (103 pounds), Alex Richardson (126), Luis Lopez (138), Jamal Hooker (152) and Andrew Solis (160).

Moapa Valley’s Kadyn Griffith (113) and Nathaniel Sprague (145) each won a flight title.

Laughlin’s JuQuan Lakes won the crown at 285.

Other flight champions were: Indian Springs’ Mark Wilson (120), Pahranagat Valley’s Jeremy Minick (132) and Valley’s Rogelio Lopez (170).
