WRESTLING: Gorman wins Pahranagat Invitational

The Bishop Gorman wrestling team placed eight wrestlers in championship matches Friday on the way to winning the team title at the Pahranagat Valley Invitational in Alamo.

Six Gorman wrestlers won individual titles as the Gaels finished first with 233.5 points.

Moapa Valley placed second with 133 points, followed by Spring Mountain (122), Lincoln County (117.5) and Sunrise Mountain (104).

Santi Bent (113 pounds), Mason Campbell (120), Sean Randles (126), Garrett Wallace (138), Hunter Mackin (170) and Zach Singer (285) each won their respective weight classes for Gorman.

Samuel Fench (152) and Lenni Posada (160) finished second for the Gaels.

Moapa Valley’s Kaleb Bodily (152), Trystin Deal (160) and Jake Repp (145) had titles for Moapa Valley.

Pahranagat Valley’s Jeremy Minick (132) and Gorman’s Randles were the top individual wrestlers on Friday, each going 4-0 during the tournament.
