WRESTLING: Jenkins’ 38-second pin helps Mojave edge Legacy

Julian Jenkins pinned his opponent in 38 seconds at 195 pounds Tuesday night to help Mojave edge visiting Legacy, 40-39.

The match was tied at 39, with Mojave winning on criteria.

Angel Garcia (145), Ruben Corona (152) and Carlos Rangel (285) also won by pin for the Rattlers, who also won twice by forfeit.

Michael Salinas (113), Marcos Marquez (120), Kyler Atkinson (126), Josh Rockmaker (138) and Justin Tanner (170) had first-period pins for the Longhorns.

Mojave 45, Canyon Springs 30 — At Mojave, Rangel won by pin in 54 seconds to help the Rattlers top the Pioneers.

Galindo Moreno (120), Jarid Ortiz (138) and Garcia (145) also had pins for Mojave, which won two matches by forfeit.

Darius Jackson (132), Jonathan Barajas (160), Antonio Alcala (170) and Roosevelt Smith (182) won by fall for Canyon Springs.

Boulder City 35, Mojave 32 — At Mojave, Jimmy Brown (113) and Collin Fox (120) each pinned their opponent in less than a minute as the Eagles edged the Rattlers.

Dustin Edlund (160) and Thomas Prach (170) also won by pin for Boulder City.

Alan Pagarigan (220) and Rangel (285) had pins for Mojave. Pagarigan won in just 34 seconds.

Boulder City 47, Legacy 31 — At Mojave, Thomas Prach won by pin in 1:01 at 170 pounds to lead the Eagles over the Longhorns.

Brady Branscum (106), Gavin Patrick (145), Dustin Edlund (160) and Jacob Jurgschot (195) also won by fall for Boulder City.

Salinas (113), Rockmaker (138) and Josh Phillips (220) recorded pins for Legacy. Phillips won in just 57 seconds.

Boulder City 48, Canyon Springs 33 — At Mojave, Edlund (160) pinned his opponent in 22 seconds to lead the Eagles over the Pioneers.

Fox (120) and Tyler Rushworth (126) also won by fall in less than a minute for Boulder City. The Eagles also got pins from Facio Gomez (138), Patrick (145), Jurgschot (195) and Jack Rozycki (285).

Alcala (170), Smith (182), and Gabriel Puga-Aguirre (220) had pins for Canyon Springs. Puga-Aguirre won in 38 seconds.

Legacy 36, Canyon Springs 32 — At Mojave, Marquez (120) and Atkinson (126) had pins to help the Longhorns edge the Pioneers.
