WRESTLING: Spring Valley gets five pins in win over Mojave

Spring Valley won five matches by pin on Tuesday en route to a 42-29 road win over Mojave.

Jesse Diaz (113 pounds), Tyler Nishi-Rivera (126), Marlon Decoud (145), Clayton Bikle (182) and Taevian Jacobs (285) won by fall for the Grizzlies.

Mario Shelton-Poindexter (160), Dai'jon Payno (195) and Don Phillips (220) had pins for the Rattlers.

Pahrump Valley 46, Sierra Vista 33 — At Pahrump, Isaac Davis pinned his opponent at 170 pounds in 1:10 to help the Trojans top the Mountain Lions.

Gino Gusman (126) also won by pin for Pahrump Valley, which benefitted from three forfeit victories.

Edris Omar (132), Kyler Corpuz (145), Evan Kitchen (160), Andrew Dunn (182) and Anthony Cordero (285) recorded pins for Sierra Vista.

Moapa Valley 48, Desert Pines 36 — At Overton, Jorge Cervantes (106), Christian Riordan (126), Sterling Simmons (170), Austin Belcher (195), Keyshawn Rubio (285) each pinned their opponent in less than a minute to help the Pirates past the Jaguars.

Trevor Van Vliet (152) and Takota Bateman (160) also won by fall for Moapa Valley.

Desert Pines' Allan Romo needed only 19 seconds to pin his opponent at 182. Alex Pastrana (113), Xavier Gonzalez (120) and Angel Rocha (132) also had pins for the Jaguars.

Las Vegas 45, Silverado 22 — At Silverado, Kameron Powell needed only 47 seconds to record a pin at 106 pounds and help the Wildcats top the Skyhawks.

Antonio Saldate (120), Nicholas Sablan (132), Jake Bowden (145) and Oscar Aguirre (160) also won by pin for Las Vegas.

Brandon Miri (113) and R.J. Berdiago (126) won by pin for Silverado.

Arbor View 49, Centennial 18 — At Arbor View, the Aggies, won five matches by pin to top the Bulldogs.

Tristan Gallagher (106), Dalton Eikhoff (120), Scotty Beaumont (182), Austin Heese (195) and Alex Espinosa (220) each won by fall for Arbor View.

Noah Peterson (113), Brogan Denton (145) and Arath Rangel (285) had pins for Centennial.

Green Valley 80, Basic 0 — At Basic, Tyler Dockery won by pin in 54 seconds at 106 pounds, and the Gators shut out the Wolves.

Daniel Brathor (113), Giullian Nakamatsu (145), Adrian Ojeda (152), Jared Temple (170) and Robert Razo (182) also won by fall for Green Valley.

Shadow Ridge 59, Palo Verde 18 — At Shadow Ridge, Francisco Martinez (106), Chrsitian Brown (113), Julian Esqueda (120) and Gabe Luna (132) each recorded a first-period pin as the Mustangs topped the Panthers.

Jamison Rand (138), Eli Rivas (145), Marc Williams (152) and Jordan Moran (220) also won by fall for Shadow Ridge.

Joshua Pine (160) and Sergio Leyva (170) had first-period pins for Palo Verde.
