WRESTLING: Trojans roll past Crusaders

Gino Gusman, John Clark and Jaxon Clayton each recorded a first-period pin on Tuesday to lead Pahrump Valley’s wrestling team to a 60-20 home win over Faith Lutheran.

Clayton had the quickest pin, winning in 1 minute, 16 seconds at 195 pounds. Gusman pinned his 120-pound opponent in 1:31, and Clark pinned his 152-pound opponent in 1:36 for the Trojans.

Antonio Sandoval (126), Sam Brophy (145), Anthony Vega (160) and Jonathan Corrow (182) also posted pins for Pahrump, which won three matches by forfeit.

Steven Tarno (106) and Trenton May (113) won by fall for the Crusaders.
