70-year-old struck, killed in September crash identified

A woman in a motorized wheelchair who was struck by a car in September has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Elizabeth Mays, 78, was using a crosswalk on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Balzar Avenue when she was hit by a 2004 Nissan Altima just before 4 p.m. Sept. 20, according to Las Vegas police.

Mays died at the scene. The coroner said she died of blunt force injuries to the chest. Her death was ruled accidental.
