Coroner identifies pedestrian killed in Sunday accident on Tropicana

A pedestrian killed while crossing Tropicana Avenue early Sunday morning was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Soheil Nasiri, 48, of Carlsbad, Calif., was hit by two cars while crossing Tropicana near Ocean Drive outside of a crosswalk around 3:15 a.m., according to Las Vegas police.

He was hit by a 2012 Ford Escape and thrown into the left turn lane of Tropicana at Las Vegas Boulevard. A 2010 Nissan Murano in the turn lane was able to stop after making minimal contact with Nasiri, hitting him with the underside of the front bumper.

Cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma and the manner was ruled an accident, according to the coroner’s office.
