CSN opens workforce development center

A center that will provide resources to businesses opened its doors on Wednesday at the College of Southern Nevada’s Cheyenne campus.

The center, named the Paul Laxalt Center for Nevada Workforce Development, was opened by CSN and the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, according to a CSN news release.

Employers will have access to a database of job seekers compiled by the state agency, training programs and employee assessments, among other resources, according to the release.

Services are free to business owners. Officials hope to use the center as a model for other state community colleges.
