Dead 3-month-old Las Vegas girl identified

A baby who died in the the southeast valley on Friday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Rhylee Brown died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center at 7:51 p.m. The official cause and manner of death for 3-month-old Rhylee had not been determined as of Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to a home near the intersection of Harmon Avenue and Pecos Road just after 7 p.m., police said on Friday.

A Metro supervisor said the incident began when the child’s mother was walking down the street and was hit by a car.

Afterward, Rhylee was found at home and sent to a hospital, where she later died. She was not with her mother when the car struck her.

The mother was also sent to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Detectives from Las Vegas police’s homicide unit and abuse and neglect unit responded to the scene.
