Las Vegas, North Las Vegas councils OK room tax hikes to fund convention center improvements

Las Vegas and North Las Vegas city councils this week approved a .5-percentage point hotel room tax hike to help fund a $1.4 billion expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Henderson council OK’d an ordinance for that increase as well as a half-percentage point tax hike to help pay for a new football stadium.
